KEANU REEVES’ STRUGGLE WITH THE WOMAN WHO ACCUSED HIM OF BEING THE FATHER OF HER CHILDREN
Back in 2020, Karen Sala, a mother of four children, had accused the famous actor, Keanu Reeves with being the father of her four children, and acted with a legal move where she wanted $3 million a month as spousal support.
“I do know for a fact that he is the biological father.” Karen Sala said, as the woman explained that she was married, and also she had a long affair with Reeves. She even stated that they lived together for a while, and that he saw some of his children’s birth.
Sala said that she has proof of their relationship, but didn’t showed it on the court. She also stated that they grew up in the same town, Barrie, where actually Reeves lived in Toronto, before he went to Hollywood in 1986.
Sala stated that she knew Reeves since she was four, but they reconnected years later, and he was using a different name then. “I didn’t know he was Keanu Reeves. To me, he was Marty Spenser.”
Reeves had stated that the craziest thing a fan of his had did to him was “accuse me of being a father.” Reeves said, “I had to go to court. It was horrible. I didn’t do it. I’m not the dad.”
While Reeves’ representative said that Sala’s accusations were “completely false and absurd,” Sala said that Reeves ysed hypnosis to show himself as Sala’s ex-husband, and impregnate her.
Reeves’ lawyer, Lorne Wolfson stated that ex-husband is the father of Sala’ children, and the children should take DNA test to prove her claims, while Sala refused to show her children’s bith certificates and doesn’t accepted a DNA test for her ex-husband.
“Her evidence is, at best, incredible. There is clearly no triable issue.” Wolfson said.
After the DNA tests, Reeves proved that he was not the father. But that didn’t stopped Sala, as she accused Reeves with using hypnosis again to change the results.
Afterwards, judge Fred Graham dismissed the case as it would be “a waste of limited judicial resources.”
Reeves indeed had a daughter with actress Jennifer Syme, but sadly, their daughter lost her life and afterwards, the couple struggled in their relationship.
They learned that Syme was pregnant in 1999, and sadly, while Syme was pregnant, their unborn daughter, Ava ARcher Symes-Reeves, lost her life.
As the couple were working on their relationship, an unfortunate thing happened while the couple were on their was to a party at Marilyn Mason’s house. After an accident, Syme lost her life and was buried next to their daughter.
“Grief changes shape, but it never ends.” Reeves said in one of his interviews.
