Samantha Woll, the synagogue leader in Detroit, had been murdered by stabbing, just outside of her house.
She was the leader of Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue, and she was close to few Democratic politicians, as she was with Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin.
It is reported that her body was found, as there was a trail of blood outside of her house.
Police had stated that the investigation is still continuing, as there will be no answers for the questions now, and there are no arrestments had done yet.
“At this point we do not have more information, but will share more when it becomes available” stated by her synagogue.
“May her memory be a blessing.”
“She was instrumental in the founding of the Muslim-Jewish Forum of Detroit — a grassroots collective of young adults of both faiths who gather in partnership to learn, celebrate and build community together” was stated in the Detroit Jewish News.
“By extending her hand and creating space for connection between Muslims and Jews, she has exemplified the values of healing the world.”
Her murder came after a 6-year-old Palestinian-American boy’s murder, as he was too stabbed to death, in Illinois.
“Sam was as kind a person as I’ve ever known. She was driven by her sincere love of her community, state and country. Sam truly used her faith and activism to create a better place for everyone” Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel stated about the boy’s murder.
“She did for our team as Deputy District Director what came so naturally to her: helping others & serving constituents” Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin stated about Woll.
“Separately, in politics & in the Jewish community, she dedicated her short life to building understanding across faiths, bringing light in the face of darkness.”
“Just weeks ago, I shared a day of joy with Sam at the dedication of the newly renovated Downtown Synagogue. It was a project she successfully led with great pride and enthusiasm” Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan said.
“Sam’s loss has left a huge hole in the Detroit community. This entire city joins with her family and friends in mourning her tragic death.”
