MOTHER OF RARE TWINS WITH DOWN SYNDROME HAD SHOWN HER DAUGHTERS AT THE AGE OF TWO
Savannah Combs had an incredibly rare birth, as she gave birth to her twin daughters, who were with Down Syndrome.
Her doctors had stated that she was expecting twins, without knowing that her daughters had Down Syndrome. After a while, the doctors had stated that one of her twins might be with Down Syndrome, and they should test them, she refused, since the tests may cause miscarriage.
“Every [prenatal] appointment they were alive was a blessing to me,” Combs had stated.
As she gave birth to her Down Syndrome twins, she had faced many criticism towards her babies. She had tried hard to keep her babies safe, and defended them from the trolls.
Her twin daughters, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman, was born in 2021. They were Mono/Di twins, so they had shared the placenta. It was a rared thing, but what’s more rare about them was that they were with Down Syndrome.
Combs had stated that, her husband, Justin Ackermann was pretty emotional about the diagnosis of his daughters. Many people had judged them, when they had kept the babies.
“They have feelings, they have beating hearts, they know how to talk, they know how to do things you do, and they will get there. Like I say, it may be a step behind, but they’re going to do it,” Combs said.
There was a comment that Combs had responded, and liked by many other people.
“I wouldn’t want those babies; if mine came out like that, they would be straight up for adoption,” wrote someone under her post, and Combs had responded as,
“I said, good thing they weren’t born to you and were born to me. God knew what he was doing by giving these babies to the right parents who would love them regardless.”
Mother of the twins, took her daughters to their therapy sessions of speech, occupational and physical therapies.
In July of 2023, she had shared her twins, from her social media account. Many people had shared their lovely comments about the twins.
“infectious little smiles” said one, and many people had praised Combs for her great motherhood over her twin daughters. “so beautiful,” added another one.
