After Jen gave birth to their only child, she found out that Tom was having an affair. When she learned of her husband’s cheating, Jen was devastated.
She was believing that their marriage was great, and with the arrival of their child, they would be the perfect family.
When Jen saw her husband’s texts with his mistress, her heart was shattered as she couldn’t believe that her husband cheated on her while she was postpartum.
Then Jen had planned her revenge. She first moved her money to another account to use it without alerting her husband, and bought an apartment for herself and her newborn daughter. Then she talked with a lawyer about divorce and custody.
Jen also had put every detail Tom was texing to his mistress into her life. When she read that Tom loves “her short miniskirt with the cute little heels,” she changed her look. When she learned that Tom liked when she “lightly touched his forearm when they conversed,” she started to do that.
As he never asked what was happening, Tom became more into Jen as time passed.
He would talk about how he was feeling alive, and desired. Through her actions, Jen caused Tom to break up with his mistress, and focus only to herself. Now she was sure that he was in love with herself again.
When their anniversary arrived, it was time for her plan’s main action. Jen planned a dinner at a fancy restaurant, and they went to their date. As their evening progressed, Jen took a picture of her husband, she said, “for the memories…”
And right after the picture, she handed the divorce papers over to Tom. “Is this some kind of joke?” He asked as he was shocked.
“No joke,” Jen said. “I know everything, about her, about the lies. It’s over.”
“But, I…I thought we were happy,” Tom struggled with his words.
“We were until you decided that wasn’t enough,” Jen said, “I deserved better. Our child deserves better.”
“Please, can’t we talk about this? There has to be another way,” he pledaded.
“There was. It was called trust,” Jen responded, and left him at the restaurant.
