WOMAN SAID TO HIS PARENTS THAT THEY ARE ACCEPTING TO LIVE IN HER GARAGE, OR THEY COULD CHOSE A NURSING HOUSE

A Redditor, u/Old_Programmer_5669, had shared her story on Reddit’s r/AITA subreddit. She had explained that her parents wanted to move in with her, and she offered her renovated garage to them, since she was working from her home, and living alone as her husband has passed, and her children are living away.

She stated that she doesn’t have a car, and living alone in her house with her dogs. She then explained that her husband passed away, and her children are grown ups who are living on their own.
She then changed her garage to a renovated guest house, so when her children comes, they could have a place to stay. She described the renovated garage as, “Independent washroom, kitchen, everything.”

One day, her parents had asked her that if they could move in with her, and she accepted. She called her kids for assisting them, and letting them know that their grandparents will be living at the garage.
Whole family gathered to help their grandparents to move in, and since there were not many rooms in the house, hotels are arranged so the house wouldn’t be crowded.

As the children started to carry the items of the grandparents into the garage, OP’s parents were confused, and OP explained that they are living in the garage. Her parents said that she has five bedrooms, and they thought that they were going to live inside.
OP explained the situation as, “I explained that I actually have two bedrooms since one room is my office where I see clients, one is my private office, and one is my hobby room. The spare bedroom is mostly for my mutts.”

The parents wanted to live inside the house, and not in the garage. Then OP said that they are free to chose between a nursing home and her garage.
