WOMAN FOUND OUT ABOUT HER HUSBAND’S AFFAIR THROUGH THE TRACKING APP ON HER PHONE

Mel went back home after a rough day at work, and her eleven-year-old daughter, Lily, greeted her, “Thank goodness, you’re home!”

“What’s wrong?”

“Emma and I are starving!” Lily said, “Meanwhile, Dad’s been watching TV all afternoon.”

“What?” Mel was shocked. “Why is the house such a mess?” She asked when she saw the mess the house was in.

“Emma threw a tantrum because I gave her a granola bar,” Lily said. “I know she doesn’t like them, but she didn’t want yoghurt either.”

“Come on, let me talk to Dad,” Mel said, and walked towards Owen. He was falling asleep in front of the TV.

“Owen!” Mel said, “What’s going on?”

“What do you mean?” Owen responded, “Everything’s fine.”

“The kids are hungry, the house is a mess. There’s no dinner prepared. Look at the time!” Mel said, and Owen rolled his eyes.

“I lost track of the time,” he said. “Emma has been throwing a tantrum all afternoon and refuses to reason with me. Lily has been rude. She only wanted you to help with her homework.”

Owen was the one who supposed to care for the house and girls while Mel was working away from home, while Owen was giving lectures online, from home.

“And I had a rough day, Mel,” Owen said. “I was stuck in front of my computer the whole day, but the internet was so slow. I could barely complete a lecture.”

Mel was sure that Owen was lying. “How about you and Emma clear up the toys and Lily and I will start dinner?” She asked.

“Are you angry, Mom?” Lily asked, while Mel was preparing.

“No, darling,” Mel said, “Not with you and Emma, anyway.”

“Dad wasn’t home when we got here,” Lily whispered then, “We had to wait on the porch.”

“I know, baby,” Mel said.

Earlier on that same day, Mel saw her husband since she was 22 with another woman, as they were kissing.

“I saw you today,” Mel said finally.

“What? When?” Owen asked in panic.

“Across from my office,” Mel said. “You weren’t alone, Owen.”

“You followed me?” Owen asked as he was nervous.

“The tracker pinged, indicating you were nearby,” Mel explained.

Few months ago, they had installed tracking apps on their phones, when they took their children to Disneyland as a safety measure. And the apps were still installed in their phones so it pinged when Owen was near Mel.

“I thought that you were going to meet me — maybe surprise me with the girls or something at work. So, I thought that I’d track the pin, and surprise you right back. And there you were.” Mel said, as Owen went pale.

“Mel, I can explain,” Owen stuttered.

“Who is she?”

“Let’s not do this. I can explain. It’s not what you think.”

As Owen refused to talk that night, on the next morning, Mel’s coffee and toast was ready, where Owen was waiting for her.

“Talk to me,” Owen said. “What do you want to do?”

“I don’t know,” Mel said.

And Mel asked what to do in this situation, as she didn’t wanted her children to face the consequences of her husband’s terrible action.
