The famous couple of Victoria Beckham and David Beckham are together, married for 24 years. In their journey together, the couple welcomed their children, Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12.
Through the thick and thing, the couple had overcome every obstacle they witnessed.
The couple, Victoria and David Beckham had supported each other no matter what. David was a former superstar in football, who played for Real Madrid and Manchester United, and Victoria was a former member of the Spice Girls.
They met when David was playing for Manchester United. David, had revealed in his documentary series in Netflix, “Beckham,” he stated that his former boss, Sir Alex Ferguson didn’t like his girlfriend, Victoria. Ferguson was expecting him to be the best footballer, and marry with someone who would be an easy person, not a star.
But after their relationship was revealed, they were constantly at the target of the media.
“Media attention he was getting and becoming a celebrity was different from what I wanted,” Sir Alex Ferguson said about David.
“The big problem for me … he fell in love with Victoria and that changed everything.” Sir Alex continued in his memoir, “Alex Ferguson: My Autobiography,” where he stated that David had the potential to become the number one of football.
Victoria stated in the documentaries, “I love watching him play football, but then I love whatever he does. He could be painting a wall, and I’d love watching him painting a wall.”
They got engaged in 1998, and married in 1999, after they had their first child, Brooklyn.
After the mistakes he had during the 1998 world cup game, against Argentina, David stated that Victoria told him that she was pregnant, a day before the game. When England lost the game, where David was booked with a red card for kicking an Argentinian player, Diego Simeone, Beckham was the public enemy.
He stated that he made a “stupid mistake”, and as a result, “the whole country hated me.”
As Victoria had no idea about football, and why everybody was hating David, she stated that she was sad that David wasn’t eating or sleeping, due to his feelings of he let his team, country, fans and teammates down.
“He was really depressed. Absolutely, clinically depressed,” Victoria Beckham said, and adde that she was “so pregnant” and “so tired” during the events.
“When fans thought they could get to me by singing songs about my family, I ended up scoring a goal.” David Beckham said.
