WHILE 53-YEAR-OLD MOTHER WAS A GESTATIONAL CARRIER FOR HER DAUGHTER, HER DAUGHTER FELL PREGNANT AT THE SAME TIME AFTER INFERTILE YEARS
Couple from Minnesota, 31-year-old Kelsi Perce and her husband Kyle Pierce, had met at a bar as they were watching a hockey game. They married in 2016. As they were happy with their lives, they had one thing missing, a child.
As they went to a doctor, Kelsi learned that her ovarian reserve was lov, and even with the IVF procedure, Kelsi couldn’t carry a child, as her uterus lining was too thin.
As the couple had spend a fortune for two years, in order to get pregnant, they failed. Doctors had told Kelsi that she will never become pregnant.
The doctors then suggested to couple that they should consider adopting, or find a gestational carrier for their baby.
As the gestational carrier was a tempting suggestion, the couple needed $100,000, which they didn’t have. Then Kelsi’s mother, 53-year-old Lisa Rutherford had offered to be their gestational carrier. The mother explained, “I just thought I don’t have $100,000 to hand you, but this is what I can do to make your dream come true. It wasn’t even a question.”
On 2019, Lisa was pregnant with her daughter’s embryo. And on the following year, they were surprised with a gift from the heavens. When it was March, a pregnancy test Kelsi tried was turned out positive, she was pregnant, against all odds.
After they received the news, the family were incredibly happy, as Kelsi’s mother, Lisa stated, “It was an awesome experience…Not only was I so excited for Kelsi to be able to carry a baby, but it was so fun to share our experiences with each other.”
The mother and daughter were pregnant at the same time. They were going to their medial appointments together, and advicing each other with things related to their pregnancy.
With two months apart from each other, the siblings were born. At the 36th week of her pregnancy, Lisa underwent a C-section, and welcomed her grandchild.
On the October of 2020, Everly was born with complications, where she was born with no color, and didn’t cried at birth. She spend some time in NICU, where her mother, Kelsi cried, as she said, “We had waited so long, and I just wanted to hold my baby.”
After a week later, the couple had held their baby daughter. As they stayed for a while in Michigan, later the Pierce family drove back to Minnesota, along with Lisa.
And on the November of 2020, their second daughter, Ava was born. Kelsi had stated as, “It still feels surreal to me… It’s just so amazing. I just stare at them for however long, and I’m just like, ‘I can’t believe you’re mine.’”
As they were dreaming of having a baby, the parents were incredibly happy with their daughters at their hands. Kelsi was committed to her daughters, as she loves them unconditionally.
On the 18th of september, 2021, Kyle had shared a picture of their daughters, and showed the growth rate of their daughters. They were smiling as they were holding their daughters over the sports field.
