TWIN SISTERS THAT ARE BORN WITH DIFFERENT SKIN COLORS
Couple from Birmingham, England, Amanda and Michael Biggs, finally had their babies via I.V.F. They were trying for pregnancy, as they were married for more than ten years.
Amanda was caucasian, and Michael was Jamaican, so they were expecting to have a mixed baby, as their skin colors were different.
Their twin daughters, Marcia Millie Madge and Millie Marcia Madge Biggs were born in 2006, as the babies were beautiful. They had different characteristics as babies, Millie was a shy girl, while her sister, Marcia was very outgoing.
But what was surprising, the twin sisters had different skin colors. Marcia had a lighter skin complexion, while Millie had more darker complexion. People had stated that the twins were not related, as it was reported, “Even teachers at nursery refused to believe they were sisters.”
Their mother, Amanda had stated that, the doctors told her that it is possible that the complexion of the twins might be different, as Amanda calls her twin daughters as, “one-in-a-million.”
Amanda had added, “As time went on, people just saw the beauty in them.” Amanda had stated that her daughters has not faced any racism, but people were asking questions that were not harmful.
Alicia Martin, a statistical geneticist stated that, “The visible differences between peoples are accidents of history.”
Another twins that had different complexion, from Gloucester, England, Lucy and Maria Aylmer had the same experience as the daughters of Amanda.
“They say, ‘How did it happen? We don’t believe you.’” Maria said.
