WIDOWER WAS TRAPPED INSIDE AIRPORT WITH HIS NEWBORN, THEN THE OLD LADY HELPED
Bob was shocked when he received a call from a hospital from Florida, that his baby was born. At first he thought that it was a prank, but then remembered that his pregnant wife was at Florida, while he was renovating their house for the nursery.
The couple had three adopted children already, and they needed one more room for their baby which was going to be born soon. As Bob was a foster child himself, he always wanted to help to the children in need.
“If I can help those kids grow up to be the best of themselves then I feel like I’ve made a huge difference,” he once said to his wife.
Bob had a previous wife before he married with Mary. His first wife, Ellen had cheated on Bob with their pool boy, and Bob had two grown kids from Ellen. His grown kids were on their own lives.
He met with Mary two years later, and after months of dating, they decided to be married. They had tried for a child a lot, but they couldn’t get pregnant, so they decided to adopt children.
One day Mary informed Bob that she was pregnant. As the days passed, Bob decided to renovate their house for their newborn, and sent his wife to Florida while he was working on their house.
As Mary was due in two months, Bob was not expecting his wife to give birth to their child. But as soon as Mary stepped out of the plane, her water broke, and she went into labor.
Sadly, Mary passed away while she was giving birth to their daughter. So that was why the call from Florida came. Bob immediately took some belongings, clothes and went to the airport for a flight to Florida.
Bob was still in shock, but he needed to care for his newborn. He was going to grieve about his wife later. As he arrived at the hospital, he met with the 82-year-old volunteer caregiver of the NICU, Meredith.
“What happened?” Bob asked.
“Have a seat Mr. Hollis,” Meredith said to Bob.
“I’m better off standing” Bob responded.
“I’m sorry for your loss Mr. Hollis, but your wife suffered some complications giving birth to your child.”
“As I understand you have come for the child, but I have to make sure that you have what it takes to care for one,” Meredith continued.
Then Bob explained that they already had three adopted children, and before them, he raised two grown kids. “You’ll do,” Meredith said, and gave her number just in case.
“Call me if you need anything,” the old woman said, and gave Bob a ride for the airport.
At the boarding gate, a stewardess had stopped Bob and asked, “Is this your child sir?”
“Of course she is,” Bob said.
“I’m sorry but she seems too young to be on an airplane. How old is she?”
“She’s four days old. Now can I get through?”
“I’m sorry sir, but you’ll have to present her birth certificate and wait till she is at least seven days old before traveling with her,” the stewardess responded.
“What’s this?” Bob was angry, “Are you saying I have to remain here for the next couple of days? I have no family here to stay with which is why I must get home today.”
“I’m sorry, it’s the policy,” the stewardess said back.
Bob was annoyed and frustrated. He first lost his wife, then forced to stay at Florida, where he had no one to receive help.
Then he remembered Meredith. He decided to call her for help, as he didn’t wanted to bother her. He called and said, “Hello Meredith, I need your help.”
Meredith immediately offered her help, and invited Bob and his daughter to her house, and rushed back to the airport to help.
“Compassion still thrives in this world,” Bob thought as he was waiting for Meredith. For more than a week, Bob and his daughter stayed at Meredith’s house. She had helped him and helped to the newborn until Bob and his daughter returned.
As she helped Bob with his daughter, she also arranged a transportation for the body of Bob’s late wife, Mary.
With the time he spent with Meredith, Bob learned that Meredith had four children, and three grandchildren.
After the birth certificate of his daughter was ready, Bob was ready to go back to Texas, to his home. But even after he returned, he kept his contact with Meredith, and he even visited Meredith severaltimes with his daughter, until Meredith passed away.
When she passed away, Bob and his daughter also attended to her funeral too. And there, Bob learned from the oldest daughter of Meredith, Shirley, that Meredith left something for Bob’s daughter from her inheritance.
As time passed, Shirley and Bob had started to feel things for one another, and a year later, they had married.
CRYING WOMAN DID NOT LEFT THE PLANE UNTIIL SHE MET THE PILOT
It was a regular day for Jane, as she was in the plane as the flight attendant, who was checking the passengers if there was something wrong, and she noticed a woman sitting by the porthole. While the woman was trying to look normal, she was crying.
As Jane was concerned, she decided to talk with the woman. “Ma’am, is there something you need help with?”
“No, I’m fine…” the woman said silently.
After the announcement of the pilot, the woman started to cry even harder. “Ma’am, do you want some water?” Jane asked as she approached to the woman again, and the woman refused as she insisted that she was alright.
“Alright, ma’am. Is there anything else I can help you with? Why are you crying?” Jane asked this time.
As the woman didn’t answered, “What, ma’am?” Jane asked, after the woman mumbled something while looking at the porthole.
“Can you please not bother me?” The woman responded then, “Please leave me alone!”
Then Jane said that she could call her for anything during the flight, and left. But during the flight, Jane noticed that the woman was constantly crying.
When the plane landed, the woman didn’t left her seat. As Jane was concerned again, she decided to talk. “Ma’am, the flight has landed. Do you need help with your bag?”
Then the woman raised her voice, “No, I’m not getting down! I MUST SEE THE PILOT! I’m not moving from here until I see him!”
“You can’t stay on the plane for a long time after it has landed, ma’am,” Jane said as she was shocked and confused. “Please, you’ll need to disembark now.”
I said I want to meet the pilot. It’s urgent. Please try to understand,” the woman pleaded.
Jane had no choice to inform Captain Alex. After the pilot stepped out from the cockpit, he was shocked. With anger he said, “YOU?! I have nothing to say to you.”
The woman, Linda, pleaded with Captain Alex, about their parents, and how proud they would be if they see him.
“Alex, wait, please don’t go…I’m sorry! Please forgive me!” Linda kept crying, and that stopped Captain Alex. Then he asked how she recognized his voice.
“I would recognize your voice even in a crowd of millions. I love you so much, Alex,” Linda responded.
“I’ve been waiting to hear this from you for years,” Alex said. “All you had to do was say these words to set things straight. Why did it take you so long to say SORRY?”
Jane learned that Alex was younger brother of Linda, who dreamed of becoming a pilot, but their father had mocked him for his dreams and never supported him.
“I am not spending a dime on you to waste it in an air academy,” were the last words of Alex’s father, which Alex heard from him. A car crash took his parent’s lives short after that talk. As Linda received an inheritance from their parents, the will was stating that Alex needed to wait becoming 18 to receive his share.
When Alex wanted his sister to help him with the money she inherited for the air academy, Linda didn’t helped. “We could use this money to buy a nice big house and a car. Why do you want to waste it when you know you’re not gonna be a successful pilot?” Linda would say.
“I don’t even want to see you. Take all the money. I will achieve my dream by myself. Goodbye!” Alex said to his sister, then left for his grandparents.
Linda revealed that she heard his voice through a phone call she made out of despair and regret for letting him go years ago. When she called his phone, Alex responded as “Hello, who is this?” And hung up after hearing her voice.
“I’m not ready to talk to you anymore. I’m going,” Alex said to hi ssister. As Linda kept crying, “Alex, please, give me one chance. Please, I’m here to visit Dad and Mom’s graves. Please come with me. They are watching us from heaven! They’ll be so proud of you!” She said.
Alex left the plane without saying anything.
MILLIONAIRE MOCKED THE WOMAN, AND GOT SHOCKED WHEN HE HEARD THE PILOT’S ANNOUNCEMENT
Louis Newman had said, “Ugh! You can’t be serious! Are you really making her sit here?! Miss, you better do something about it!”, as he saw mother of three was coming towards her.
“I’m sorry, sir,” stewardess said.
“These seats have been assigned to Mrs. Debbie Brown and her children, and we can’t do anything about it. I’d request you to kindly cooperate with us.” Said, as she showed the tickets.
“You don’t understand, Miss! I have a crucial meeting with foreign investors. Her children will keep chit-chatting and making noises, and I cannot afford to lose this deal!” Louis had continued.
As the stewardess saying, “Sir….”, Debbie had cut her, “It’s all right. I can sit somewhere else if the other passengers are willing to swap seats with my children and me. That isn’t an issue for me.”
“Not at all, ma’am!” Stewardess said.
“You’re sitting here because you paid for it, and you have the right to be here! It makes no difference whether someone likes it or not, and sir,”
“I’d appreciate it if you could be patient until the flight is over.” She said to Louis.
Wealthy man, Louis was annoyed when the stewardess had ignored his demand. He didn’t liked to be sitting with Debbie, and her three children.
“Mom!” Said her daughter Stacey, as they were flying for the first time. “Look, we’re finally flying! Yay!”
Some other passengers had smiled towards Stacey, as they found her innocent.
“Listen,” said Louis to Debbie, “Could you please ask your children to be quiet? Because I missed my previous flight, I’m joining a meeting from here. I don’t want any kind of disruption.”
“I’m sorry,” answered Debbie.
“Do you mind if I ask you a question?” Said Debbie to Louis, as she had noticed that he was a businessman, working on fabrics, and designs.
As Louis didn’t want to have a conversation with her, he wanted to make fun with her ignorance, as he thought she was an ignorant.
“Umm…Yeah, sure, go ahead.”
“I noticed you had a handbook with fabric samples and designs. Do you work in the clothing industry?” Debbie asked.
“Uhhh…yeah, you could say that. I own a clothing company in New York. We just closed a deal. I hadn’t really hoped it would work, but it did.”
“Oh, that’s lovely. Congratulations! Actually, I run a small boutique in Texas. It’s more of a family affair. It was started by my in-laws in New York. We recently opened a unit in Texas. I was really impressed with the designs you were presenting.”
Louis laughed at Debbie, as he was amused, “Thanks, lady! But the designs that my company makes are not like some local or family boutique thing; we hire some of the best designers, and we just cracked a deal with the best designing company in the world! A BOUTIQUE, SERIOUSLY?!”
Debbie was humiliated with his laugh. “Oh, well,” she said, “I – I understand. It must be something really huge for you.”
“Something huge?” Louis had laughed again. “A poor woman like you would never understand what it means, but it was a million-dollar deal! Let me ask you this again,”
“I mean, I saw your tickets and everything. I know you’re here flying business class with us, but trust me, you don’t look like someone who deserves to be here! Maybe try economy the next time and look for people who own boutiques like you?”
Debbie responded to him sternly, “Listen, sir,” she said.
“I understand; it’s my first time flying in business class, and I had trouble figuring out the check-in process and everything, but don’t you think you’re getting ahead of yourself? My husband is on the flight with us, but…”
As she was talking, the pilot of the plane had announced that they had arrived at JFK, and continued as, “Also I would like to thank every passenger on this flight, especially my wife Debbie Brown, who is flying with us today. Debbie, honey, I can’t tell you how much your support means to me.”
Then Louis had figured that the pilot of the plane, Captain Tyler Brown, was Debbie’s husband.
“This is my first time flying an A-class flight, and I was nervous. Thank you to my wife, who assured me that everything would be fine and decided to accompany me despite her fear of flying in order to put my mind at ease. Today is my first day back at work after a long period of unemployment. My wife and I have never had it easy, and we’ve seen a lot of struggles in our lives, but I’ve never heard Debbie complain about her situation. So, on this day, which also happens to be the day we first met, which I believe my wife has forgotten, I’d like to propose to her again on this flight. DEBBIE, I LOVE YOU, HONEY!” Captain Tyler Brown continued.
Tyler had left his cabin, and proposed to her, “Would you like to spend the rest of your life with me again, Mrs. Debbie Brown?”
Debbie shouted yes, as other passangers had cheered for them, went emotional with the occasion.
As they were leaving the plane, Debbie had approached to Louis and said, “A materialistic man like you, who only thinks about money, would never understand how it feels to have a loved one around you. And yes, my husband and I live a humble life, but we are very proud of it!”
