THE VICTIMS OF BALTIMORE BRIDGE, AND EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THEM
There were eight construction workers on the Baltimore Bridge, while it was being collapsed. Two of the workers were saved alive, and two of the worker’s bodies were found while four of them remained missing.
The rescue mission turned into the recovert mission after Rear Adm. Shannon Gilreath had talked about the harsh reality of the situation.

“Based on the length of time that we’ve gone in the search, the extensive search efforts that we put into it, the water temperature — at this point, we do not believe that we’re going to find any of these individuals still alive,” Gilreath said.
MIGUEL LUNA
Miguel Luna was from El Salvador, who was in Maryland, US, for years, where he worked hard for his family, and interests. On that tragic day, Luna left his house to go to work, and sadly, never returned.
CASA Executive Director Gustavo Torres stated, “Sadly, we discovered that one of the construction workers involved was a longtime member of our CASA family, adding an even deeper layer of sorrow to this already grievous situation.”
María del Carmen Castellón, the wife of Miguel, is devastated after the tragic incident. The grieving wife stated, “They only tell us that we have to wait, that right now they cannot give information. [We feel] devastated, devastated because our hearts are broken because we don’t know how they have been rescued yet. We are just waiting for the news.”
Jesus Campos, a colleague of Miguel had stated, “It hurts my heart to see what is happening. We are human beings and they are my coworkers. First of all, God, be alive. It’s what you want most.”
“Just minutes before the bridge, there was a total blackout on the ship, meaning that the ship lost engine power and electrical power, it was a complete blackout,” American Pilots Association, executive director and general counsel Clay Diamond said.

Ten days before the incident, Miguel learned that he was going to be a grandfather. He learned that he was going to welcome his granddaughter. As he shared the moments from his social media account.
As the accident shocked the family, his son MArvi Luna tried to contact his father as soon as he heard about the collision, but his calls ended up with silence.
“We’re okay right now because we don’t know yet nothing about my dad,” Marvin said.
MAYNOR YASSIR SUAZO SANDOVAL
Maynor Yassir Suazo Sandoval from Santa Bárbara in Honduras, came to US as an industrial mechanical technician for a great future. The 38-year-old father of two was on the bridge when it collapsed, which his absence had created a huge hole in his family.

When his brother Martin Suazo talked with an outlet about Maynor, he stated that his brother came to US 18 years ago from Santa Barbara, Honduras, for a better life.
He had a great family with his wife, 18-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter.
“God grant the miracle, it would be beautiful.” His other brother, Carlos Suazo Sandoval said.

Maynor’s sister had shared an emotional video from social media account, where she talked about her brother and described him as a beacon of joy. “He gave us the strength for everything.” Marina Maldonado Villeda said. “Maynor is a great guy […] a giver of noble causes […] with a vision and mission at the service of our community.”

“Maynor Suazo, a young entrepreneur with a vision of service to his community, especially to the children and social causes of the municipality. Promoter and sponsor of minor soccer in Azacualpa,” stated by Maynor’s friend from soccer, Himery Perdomo said.
Two bodies from the debris of the bridge, 35-year-old native of Mexico, Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, and 26-year-old Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera from Guatemala, who was living in Dundalk.
An official from Maryland Transportation Authority Police Dispatch and Response teams had stated after the collapse of the bridge, “There’s a crew up there… You might want to notify the foreman to see if we can get them off the bridge temporarily.”
“The whole bridge just fell down. Start, start whoever… everybody. The whole bridge just collapsed.” Was stated on the radio.
