THE LAST MOMENTS OF ROSALYNN CARTER, THE FORMER FIRST LADY OF THE FORMER PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER
The saddening news of the passing of Rosalynn Carter, the former First Lady of her husband, former President Jimmy Carter, was announced to the public.
She was 96 years old, when she had passed away.
The family had released a statement on the web page of The Carter Center, and they had stated that Rosalynn had passed away at 2:10pm, as surrounded by her family, at her house in Plains, Georgia.
After her passing, the health problems Rosalynn had faced was revealed.
Her doctors found a nonmalignant tumor in one of her breasts, when it was 1977, which she went under a surgery for it’s removal.
It was a routine check-up for her, when the doctors had saw the lump in one of her breasts. With a successful surgery, and recovery, she was healthy once again.
On the May of this year, the Carter Center had revealed that Rosalynn Carter was diagnosed with dementia, as she went under a hospice care, along with her husband, Jimmy Carter.
“She continues to live happily at home with her husband, enjoying spring in Plains and visits with loved ones…” Was stated by Carter Center.
As they had appeared on the peanut festival of their hometown, with her husband, she went into their hospice care at their house. They had asked for privacy, as they released a statement on the Carter Center web page as, “Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter has entered hospice care at home. She and President Carter are spending time with each other and their family. The Carter family continues to ask for privacy and remains grateful for the outpouring of love and support.”
Their grandson, Jason Carter had stated, “They’re in love, and I don’t think anyone gets more than that. I mean, it’s a perfect situation for this time in their lives.”
“They are still here, they are still holding hands and still very much together…It’s clear we’re in the final chapter.” Jason Carter had added.
