As it is a tradition to present your gifts to your loved ones in Christmas season, or some other holiday seasons, there are some gift choices that would ruin the moment. As it is important to thought of it, rather than the gift itself, sometimes the gifts passes the consideration of the occasion.
As the Christmas is in the corner, here are twelve gifts that are out of the current time, and why you shouldn’t get them.
APRONS
If the person who is going to receive the gift has not a professional culinary career, then the apron, as a gift, is really unneccessary. And if the people who will receive the gift likes cooking, as a hobby, then they probably has an apron that they like to use.
If you chose to gift an apron, then your gift would be probably stay hidden for years to come. As it can be used at first, as the time passes, the apron would be kept hidden in some drawer.
CLEANING SUPPLIES
As cleaning products might be seemed like a good gift, it is probably a bad idea to present them, as it the receiver of the gift may think that you are thinking that they are dirty, and need the products.
CD’s AND DVD’s
CD’s and DVD’s are outdated, so there is no point on gifting them to a person, unless, they are a collector, and you found a rare piece that would make the receiver happy with the gift. Since the technology had advanced, we can watch whatever we want on any material with a screen, and internet connection.
CALENDARS
Again, a close reason for CD’s and DVD’s, the use of a physical calendar had dropped in percentage, since almost every electrical material has a calendar in them. If you want to gift a calendar, then you might use your creativity to create a family calender, or a concept calendar.
MUGS
The simple choice, mugs, are outdated too, as they were popular before, and they were a simple choice as gifts. And because of that, many people almost has mug collection, due to the popularity of these items as a gift.
EXERCISE GEAR
A similar reason for not gifting an exercise gear, is goes same as the cleaning products. The people who received the gift might thought that their body needs rework, and they may think that they are overweight.
PICTURE FRAMES
As it might seem like a good idea to gift a picture frame, it is actually a hard choice, since the interior desing of the house and the frame might not fit. Or the size of the frame and the picture might not be same too.
CANDLES
Even though they are sound like a good gift, candles would disappear eventually, and can’t keep their shapes, as they would melt with time. So instead of a candle, you might chose a candle warmer or a diffuser, instead of the candle, or along with the candle.
SOUVENIRS
It wouldn’t be a nice thing to keep the souvenirs of a different vacation to give them for Christmas, as the souvenirs should be given away at the time of the vacation they are from.
UNDERWEAR
Unless you are gifting an underwear to your wife or husband, it can be awkward to gift them to the other people. Especially for Valentines day, you might chose an underwear for your love.
CASH
Giving money to a teenager or kids might be a good idea, since we might not comprehend their likes, since ther are differences in between generations. But giving money to an adult would be an awkward gift, as again, it might create mean thinkings behind it.
PETS
Everyone loves pets and puppies, and many would think that they are the perfect gifts. But actually, it is not a great idea to gift someone a puppy, since there comes a great responsibility with taking care of a puppy. So unless you are sure that the person who is receiving the gift, is a responsible person, you shouldn’t give away any pets.
