THE FATHER THAT WAS FIGHTING AGAINST CANCER HAD ATTENDED TO HIS DAUGHTER’S PROM, AS SHE BECAME THE HOMECOMING QUEEN
47-year-old father from Alabama, Brett Yancey, is fighting against his diagnosis, esophageal cancer, for more than six years. His condition is causing him a sore throat that makes him difficult to swallow.
But when her daughter needed her father, even though he was in tremendous pain, he attended to her daughter’s prom, as she became the homecoming queen.
When he was first diagnosed with his cancer, he received many treatments, as chemo, radiation, an deven experimental treatments, but sadly, the cancer had reached to his lungs.
His wife, Carrie, had spoke to the 4029 TV, with his condition, where he needs to move with oxygen containers, he had walked with his daughter, when she needed her father as she was the homecoming queen.
At first, Carrie advised him to move with a gold cart, but Brett had stated that he will walk with his daughter, as he wanted to create a core memory with his daughter.
When his daughter had became the prom queen, she first hugged her father, and kissed him on the cheek. And those moments made everyone emotional as everyone had understand the delicasy of the situation.
Brett is married to his wife for 25 years, as they were lovers from high school. They are together, since seventh grade. And as they grew, they had married and creted their own family. Carrie is now working as a elementary school principal, while Brett was the famous football coach of his local community, before his diagnosis.
