SUSAN RICHARDSON, HER LIFE AND CAREER

Sarah Richardson, was born in 1971, Toronto, Ontario. She was known best from Eight Is Enough, TV show from 80s.
She had married with Michael Virden in 1978, and had one daughter together, Sarah Virden. Five years later, in 1983, they were divorced.

She had slowly disappeared from the screens, as she is living alone currently. She became pregnant while acting on the show, and her status was added to the script of the show, so she was able to continue her acting career.
After her birth, as she was gained 90 pounds, the producers had stated, as a source stated, forced, her to lose the baby weight she had received during her pregnancy.
As she was feeling stressed regarding the situation, she tried comfort in drugs, and she couldn’t stop. As she left the show, she had an accident on a concert, where she had injured from her tailbone. During that time, as she stated in an interview, she was living in a trailer where there was no heat.

She had later revealed that three mini-strokes hit her, as she was diagnosed with diabetes. She also lost her teeth.
She is living away from the spotlight as she disappeared from the screens. She once tried to publish children’s books, but she was unsuccessful.
She had a breakdown while shooting the final reunion of Eight is Enough. She had stated that she thought was kidnapped by Korean moviemakers.
She had stated, “They had a lot of insurance policies out on me, and they tried to blow me up in a church.”

On 1987, she had filed a lawsuit that was saying that she was kidnapped, sedated. She had stated that she was forced to work on a movie about lost children, but she ended up working on a war movie, forced to work with children, who were forced too.
She had said that she was kidnapped by the producers, and was kept in a rural area, where no one was speaking English.
She had stated that she left there by herself, with the help of an attorney that her mother had hired. American embassy and Korean National Police didn’t helped her, as she stated.
About her health issues, she had stated that, “I had a series of mini-strokes. Then I discovered I had a rare disorder that made my esophagus go spastic. [Regarding my trailer], there’s always something wrong with it. I desperately need a new trailer, but I can’t afford it.”
She had stated in an interview with Inside Edition, she is searching for goods in the dumpsters, so she might have something that she could use in her trailer.

She is suffering from Achalasia, which makes her unable to eat, and she needs to feed from a tube for 16 hours a day.
“My mom died in ’14, my little sister died in ’15, [and] my father just died in ’16, all from the same anomaly. [It’s been] a really rough time, honey. I had three strokes. Eight years ago, they told me I wouldn’t be here – I’m here!”
As she is having trouble in her health, she is one of the few people that are alive from the cast of Eight is Enough.
Nowadays, she is working on the children’s books, illustrating them. Her book, “Really Loose Mother Goose” published a while ago, and sometimes she is spending time on piano.

She had stated that sometimes her fans are sending her cards, and wishing her a well health and life.
As her doctors had stated that she doesn’t left much time to live, she had stated, “Eight years ago, doctors said I wouldn’t be here, and I’m here.”
” ‘Eight Is Enough.’ I had a huge crush on Susan Richardson.” A fan had stated from the social media platform X.
“I was neighbors in a trailer park with Susan Richardson from ‘Eight Is Enough.’ ” said one of her neighbors in the trailer park she is living.
