SURPRISE SQUAD PAID FOR THE GROCERIES OF THE VETERAN, WHO COULDN’T AFFORD THEM
Larry Robeson, a Vietnam veteran who is struggling with financial problems, received help from Surprise Squad of Fox 5. as he was at the grocery store in Las Vegas, the Surprise Squad was there too.
As Larry was having financial problems, he was helping his friend, Stephanie too. She was a veteran too. As Surprise Squad helped Stephanie, when they found out that she was buying food for herself and for her dog, and she is in her last $50, the Surprise Squad had helped her with her groceries.
Dave Hall, the reported of the Surprise Squan, was happy to tell Stephanie that the Surprise Squad is going to pay for her groceries, which made Stephanie incredibly happy.
Then, Dave Hall saw Larry, who was standing behind Stephanie, in silence. Than they learned that Larry was a veteran too, and he was taking care of Stephanie, wife of his friend. With his friend, Larry had co-founded Bones for Blankets club several years ago, where they were trying to help homeless veterans with blankets, as they didn’t had much money.
“No vet should be going through what she’s going through,” Larry said to Surprise Squad, about his friend, Stephanie.
As they were done with interview, Dave Hall wanted to help Larry too, as he offered to pay for the groceries he would buy, no matter what he gets.
As Larry was about to pay for his dish soap and candy, Dave said, “You served us. It’s our turn to serve you now.”
As Larry was amazed with the offer, Surprise Squad had bought $278 worth of groceries for Larry.
“This is just like overwhelming, I’ve been taking care of myself since I was 13,” Larry said.
Here is the moments from the FOX5’s Surprise Squad’s help to Larry. Let’ watch it!
