As he read that story, he had talked with adoption service in hopes that he would become a father too.

Jerry had helped Jordan as he recovered from the sickness Jordan had. And a day come, when Jordan had represented his country in the Tokyo Olympics.

As he lost his parents, Jordan Windle was in the orphanage, until he was 1.5 years old. And years later, he took part in the Tokyo Olympics, with U.S. Olympic Diving Team.

Jordan Windle explained how his father, Jerry is the number one fan of him, and how supportive he was, as in his journey of being an Olympic athlete.

“I wish he was there, but that doesn’t really change what I’m going there to do: To have fun, show off a little bit, and put on a show for everyone. That’s going to be my intention and I’m hopefully going to make him proud,” he said about his father.

He was only seven, when he first showed himself to Tim O’Brien. Tim had talked with Jerry, and said that Jordan is like the legendary diver, Greg Louganis.

When he was just nine, he had won his first championship, junior national championship.

As he is in the US Olympic team, he remembers that he is a Cambodian, as he tattooed the flag of Cambodia.

“It’s disappointing but at the same time this is Jordan’s journey and this is the pinnacle of it, and I want him to enjoy this experience as best he can … That’s what I’ve always wanted for him.” Jerry said, about watching his son on TV, with friends and family.

“I tell everyone, when they ask me why I dive, I dive purely for my dad and how much he loves watching me,” Jordan said.

“Without him making all the sacrifices that he has, and his love and support the whole time we’ve been together, I really wouldn’t be where I am today. I have him to thank for everything, all my accomplishments. It’s been an amazing journey with him, and we’re still rolling,” he added in regards of his father.

Here is a video of them, sharing their story. Let’s watch it!
