SIMON BILES CRITICISED AFTER HER WEDDING HAIR, SHE RESPONDED TO THE CRITICISM
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens tied the knot, at their private wedding. The couple shared the moments from their social media accounts.
The American gymnast, Biles, had won seven Olympic medals, which four of them are gold, in her career. She has 30 World Championship medals, which 23 of them are gold.
She is currently the most decorated gymnast in the World Championships history, which she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Joe Biden in 2022.
Her husband, Owens, is the famous, and successful NFL player, who joined to 2018 NFL Draft, and went to the Arizona Cardinals. But he didn’t had his debut there, since he was injured in pre-season trainings.
He is currently playing for Houston Texans, as Safety. And according to couple, Biles is the biggest cheerleader of Owens.
It was 2020, when the couple met through a dating app. As they revealed, it was Biles, who made the first move. And when the pandemic hit the world, their connection got deeper, and turned into a beautiful relationship.
On 2022, the couple got engaged, as Biles stated that it was the easiest yes of her life. The couple had planned a year for their intimate wedding.
The couple shocked everyone, when they married with just a judge next to them. They shared the news from their social media accounts, as they posted their pictures.
As Biles revealed, she were a $120 worth of dress, and $35 worth of shoes, as she bought from a sale.
After Biles shared the moments from her social media account, the clothes she bought sold out from the stores, as her fans wanted to take her look.
Biles stated that she prepared everything on the last week. The couple had a mini-photoshoot, after they changed their vows.
But some people criticised her hair, as they stated her hair was unkempt, and some others said, “should’ve laid the edges” and “could’ve at least gotten a lace in front.”
And Biles decided to respond to the critics.
Biles stated from her X account as, “I think they also forget I live in HOUSTON TEXAS & I sweat those out!! Soon as we stepped outside for pics. But they can keep complaining idc idc idc.”
She had wrote her statement under a fan’s defending post of her. The fan had wrote, “Simone Biles is one of THEE top gymnasts we’ve ever seen, has overcame situations of abuse and other obstacles in her childhood, has defined her own success and found love and is now happily married… And y’all worried about her hair…..?!”
The couple didn’t revealed a date for their big wedding, but they revealed that the wedding will happen in weeks.
As they are planning the big wedding for months, Biles is working with Israeli designer, Galia Lahav, for her gowns, and she revealed that she will wear four dresses.
And on the May of 2023, the couple had their wedding in Cabo, Mexico.
As she is happy now, Biles had a rough childhood, as she was living with her drug addict mother, and her father left her when she was a little girl.
As she was starving in her childhood, their neighbors had called the social services. Which they were placed on foster care.
“I don’t remember a lot about foster care,” Biles stated.
As she was afraid that she would be separated from her siblings, with their luck, they were all together.
At the age of six, she and her sister, Adria, moved to their grandparents house in Texas.
As she had struggled a lot in her childhood, she was determined that she will be successful in her athlete career.
As she was thinking that she was having a normal childhood, the people who had seen her were sure that she will be successful in her career.
She won four golden medals in 2016, in the Rio Olympics. As she received success, she was accused of using medicine which was in the list of World Anti-Doping Agency, as she stated that she is taking the medicine since she was a child, and was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Two years later, she revealed, as 330 other women did, that the USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar sexually abused her.
In her interview with TODAY, Biles stated, “You had one job, you literally had one job, and you couldn’t protect us.”
As successful she is, she revealed that she is pulling herself out of the individual competition, to protect her mental health. As she will attend to the Tokyo Olympics, she also stated that her doors are open for the 2024 Paris Games.
