SHE WAS BULLIED FOR HER POOR COSTUME ON HOLLYWOOD, BUT ENDED UP WITH THE MOST CANDIES
A girl told to Madison, “No! You can’t come with us! Look at your costume! It’s so ugly!” as Madison was excited to be out for a great night of trick or treat.
“Yeah! It’s ugly!” the other kids from the neighborhood had said to her.
Madison responded, “But it’s a witch costume!” which made other kids to bully her more.
“No! It’s a dirty old lady costume! I am the witch! Look at my costume! It’s new, and my parents had it made especially for me,” Anna said to Madison, with her newly bought costume, as other kids had applaused her.
Because her family was in wealth, Anna had no problem with buying a brand new costume, as she wanted, but on the other hand, Madison’s parents were not that great in terms of finance.
As Madison had wanted a costume for herself to wear in Halloween, her father, Ashton said to his daughter, “We can’t right now, darling. But soon. I promise. One day, you’ll have the best costume ever.”
After a few days, Ashton came home with a second hand costume, as Madison said, “Thank you, Daddy! Everyone is going to love this witch dress! Thank you!”
“You can’t come with us!” Anna screamed at Madison.
“First, I have to be the only witch in our group, and second, yuck! We would never hang out with you! Go away!”
As she was all alone on the street, she had thought that maybe her father would come and together they might go for trick or treating. But then she decided not to, because she didn’t want her father to feel sad with the actions of other kids.
Nonetheless, her neighbors knew her, and she didn’t need other people to trick or treating.
“They don’t matter,” said Amanda to herself.
She had knocked the door of Mrs. Vaughan’s door, and said, “Trick or treat!”
“Oh, hey, dear! I’m so happy to see you! I loooove your costume!” said Mrs. Vaughan.
“You’re the prettiest witch I’ve seen tonight!”
She received many candies from her, as she became happy.
She went after her bullies, as they rang first, and then she went there and rang again. As she was receiving more candy than the other kids, she hoped that her bullies wouldn’t notice her, but they had noticed Madison.
Anna’s grup had caught her, as Madison was approaching Mr. Ferguson’s house.
“Mr. Ferguson! Why are you giving her more candy than you gave all of us? That’s not fair! We deserve more too!” Anna shouted to the man.
“Why? Because Madison is the nicest kid on the block. She’s helpful. She’s friendly. She says good morning to everyone, and unlike you, little Anna, she doesn’t demand anything. Also, her family has been dealing with a lot. Her mother is sick at the hospital, and her father is keeping the roof over their heads. Your little group could use a friend like her to teach you about real life,” Ferguson had said, as he closed the door, while smiling at Madison.
“Is your mommy really sick?” Anna said to Madison, as she was worried about her mother.
“Yeah.” Said Madison.
“Is she going to be ok?”
“I don’t know,” said Madison.
“Do you want to continue walking with us?” Anna asked, after thinking for a second, Madison had accepted her offer.
After that day, they all became good friends, and added Madison to their group.
And as time passed, health of Madison’s mother went up, and their finances had reached to a good spot, where she was able to get a new costume for Halloweens to come.
