SHE TALKED WITH HER EX-IN-LAWS, WHEN THE NEW GIRLFRIEND OF HER EX-HUSBAND THROW AWAY THE BLANKET SHE MADE FOR HER SON

A woman had shared a story on Reddit’s r/AITA subreddit. She explained that she made a blanket for her son. Then found out that the new girlfriend of her ex-husband had throw away the blanket, so she talked with her in-laws about the situation, which the family shunned the new girlfriend.

The woman stated that she was seven months old pregnant, when she learned that her husband was cheating on her. At the divorce, they agreed on joint custody of their 3-year-old son. As the girlfriend of her ex tried to interfere with her parenting, she even tried to intervene the name she chose for her son.

As the woman confronted with new girlfriend about how annoying her actions were, new girlfriend started to throw away the things ex-wife bought, and made at the house. the OP said, “I’m barely getting by with the money I have and can not afford to buy replacement for all the stuff she throws. But my ex husband says it’s her “house” and she gets to decide what can and can’t enter.”

OP explained that she made a special crochet blanket for her son, as she had sewed his name on it. She stated that how special the blanket for her, and she spend a lot money to make it. And put a lot of time and effort in it.

As she left her son at his father’s house few days ago, she left the blanket with her son. When she came again to took back her son, she found out that the blanket was npt there. She learned, “I don’t know exactly what happened, but when I came to pick him up he told me his dad’s girlfriend took it away from him and threw it out leaving him with no blanket to sleep with at night as “punishment” for him for not accepting the one she offered.”

She called her ex-husband to talk about the situation, but he didn’t responded. Then he texted, “He texted back telling me that I should stop the drama and go look for a job if I have so much free time on my hand instead of picking on his girlfriend.”

As she was frustrated, she decided to talk with her ex-in-laws. As they were shocked when they learned the situation, then her old sister-in-law had created a post on her social media so every family member would learn about the situation.

Then her ex husband called her, as the OP stated, “My ex husband called me yelling about my “pathetic attempt” to turn his family against his girlfriend. I could hear her freaking out in the background while he was lashing out at me saying I ruined every chance she had to have a good relationship with her “future inlaws”.”
OP stated that she felt bad about the situation, she asked that if she was wrong. The Redditors who commented under the post stated that, she is not wrong in her actions, as the new girlfriend and her ex are trying to emotionally abuse her son, and try to make him pick them over the OP.
