Emily was living in a small town, along with her sister, and her whole family, where everyone knows each other. With her sister, Linda, they had this sister communication, where sometimes they wouldn’t even talk, and understand each other.
She was working at the local cafe for years, as she was serving the same coffee to the same faces. She was fond of her simple life.
One day, as she was working on the cafe as usual, she faced with a terrible incident. A man spilled hot coffee on her, and he didn’t even care, as she was in pain. As she was expecting an apology from the man, the terrible man had mocked her, and called her names. He said, “Sloppy fat pig,” before he left, while Emily was in pain, and feeling incredibly humiliated.
As she was incredibly sad with the accident, she needed comfort, so she left early from her work on that day, to receive support from her great family, and lovely sister, Linda. As she went back home, and told her incident, Linda was mad, as she said, “If I’d met him, he’d be in a lot of trouble,”
After a week later, as Emily was still feeling sad with the incident on her mind, she tried to move on with her life. But she was going to be shocked on that day too. At the dinner, Linda came with a man, they were holding hands, as Linda was about to introduce her boyfriend to her family. Emily was shocked, and couldn’t help but say, “That’s him!”
Everything went silent at that moment. The athmosphere of the room changed, as her eyes got wet. As Linda was shocked, and looking at her boyfriend, the man said, “You’ve got me confused with someone else”.
Emily was sure that was the same man, as she saw the bear tattoo on his arm. “Don’t play dumb,” she said. Then talked to her sister, Linda, “Remember when I told you how I got coffee poured on me and then insulted by a man? That’s him! He has a tattoo of a bear on his arm, right?”
As Linda heard that, she decided to step outside with her boyfriend. At that period of time, Emily was thinking what was going to happen, as if Linda would chose to forgive her, and want from her to forgive him too, or she would be against her sister. She was thinking, as her sister, Linda entered the house alone, as she was red with the anger.
She explained that she send that crap of a man away, and hugged to Emily. Emily said to Linda that she had no fault, as she continued that she couldn’t be responsible from the actions of her boyfriend.
