SHANE MACGOWAN, FRONTMAN OF THE POGUES, HAD SHARED A WORRYING HEALTH UPDATE
As he was hospitalized back in Christmas of 2022, and still under treatment since he was hospitalized, he had his wife, Victoria Clarke with her great support.
As he was still on treatment, his wife, Victoria was sharing updates, regarding the condition of her husband, with some messages from MacGowan.
On her recent update, she had stated with a picture of MacGowan, smiling, she wrote, “Shane is praying for peace and love ❤️ for everyone in the world @ShaneMacGowan@poguesofficial”
On the last year, she had stated that MacGowan was diagnosed with a rare brain condition encephalitis, as it causes infalmmation on the brain, and can cause a death.
“The timeline keeps changing. It depends on him being able to get his strength up. It’s very difficult if somebody is immobile for any length of time, as Shane was before he went into hospital,” she had stated in her recent interview with Sunday Independent.

“It means you are prone to things like pneumonia and bed sores, which lower immunity and make you weaker. Shane has other complications which make it difficult for him to do the exercises he needs to do.” She added.
