PRINCIPAL SHOCKED EVERYONE WHEN HE WORE THE SAME COSTUME AS THE STUDENT WHO WAS GETTING BULLIED FOR HIS COSTUME FOR HALLOWEEN
Levi was from a poor family. His parents Carol and Darren were loving parents but their economical status was not that good. Therefore he was sad when he found out that his parents didn’t bought him a new costume for the Halloween costume contest at his school.
His mother Carol said, “Honey, please understand, you know, daddy and I are trying our best to save this house. We need to put money aside for the mortgage payment.”
As sad he was, Levi asked, “Do you not love me, mom?”
“I don’t want the house. I want a new costume. But you love the house, not me!”
“It’s not like that, honey. Mommy and daddy love you the most! We love you more than anything!” Said Carol.
“No! You are lying! You don’t love me! You love the house!” Little Levi said in tears.
Levi closed himself to his room and didn’t left until dinner. As his parents were struggling with their financial status, they also sad for not making their son happy.
So, Carol decided to talk with her husband in dinner.
“He’s sad, hun,” Carol said to Darren.
“Can we get him a new costume? If not, I’ll find a part-time job.”
“Don’t stress yourself out, honey,” said Darren.
“You already have too much on your plate right now. I’ve got an idea…”
After two days, as Levi was eating alone in his room, his father came to his room with something on his hands.
“Can I come in, little boy?” Darren said to his son.
“No, you can’t,” said Levi.
“Even if I say I got you a new costume? I thought you’d be excited.” Said Darren to his son.
“Did you?” Excited Levi and said, “Is that a new outfit? Really?”
“Yes, it is! Now, can we have a little apology for mommy because you yelled at her two days ago? She was so worried about you.”
As he heard that, Levi rushed to his mother and hugged her. “You and daddy love me! Not the house! I’m so sorry, mom! Let’s see my new costume together!”
“Is that a robot?” Said Levi. “Dad, mom, I love robots!”
“We know you do, little boy,” Carol said to her son.
“Do you like it? Daddy made it for you!”
“I love it, mom and dad!” Said Levi.
“I love it very much! And I love you so much! Thank you!”
Darren had created the costume from cardboard and duct tape, it was a cheap costume but there was a thought while making it, and that made it valuable.
But his experience at his school was terrible, since other students had made fun of his costume as;
“Look, Levi is wearing a piece of colored cardboard!”
“He couldn’t even buy a new costume!”
“Don’t say that, Tony!” Shouted Levi, as he was crying.
“My dad worked hard on this! He went through videos on his computer, and he did so much hard work!”
“Oh, did he?” Laughed another student.
“Well, that outfit makes you look like a loser! I bet your dad’s a loser too!”
When the time for the costume competition had came, he didn’t come out from the backstage, as he was sad and crying.
“I’m so sorry, dad…” Levi said.
“I didn’t even take part in the competition! I wasted your hard work! I’m sorry…” he continued to talk to himself.
As he was drowning in his on thoughts, he heard a shocking sound from the stage, as the principal, Mr. Frederick was on the stage with a robot costume as Levi.
“Where is my fellow robot? Levi, where are you, child?” Principle Frederick had called for Levi.
“Mr. Frederick?” Said Levi as he was shocked. “You have the same costume as me!”
“Call me, Captain Red!” Said Mr. Frederick as he was smiling towards Levi.
“Agent Blue, you got a nice suit there! Mine took so much time to make!” He added.
“You look cool, Captain Red!” Said Levi.
“My dad made me this suit! I just love it!”
“That’s wonderful, Agent Blue! I’ll ask your dad to make me a suit next time! I saw some kids didn’t appreciate your costume, so I thought, why not show them they’re wrong? You know what? I love your outfit! You’re lucky! Your dad spends love on you, which is more important than just spending money on children…” Mr. Frederick said.
That occasion made Levi the champion of the competition.
“WE ARE SORRY, LEVI!” Shouted the children who mocked Levi’s costume. “Your costume was awesome!”
Levi had shared his prize of candies with other children and stated to them, “It’s ok! I’m not sad anymore. Let’s not be mean to others, ok? Mommy and daddy say we should love each other!”
“That’s absolutely right, Levi,” said the principle Frederick.
“Always remember, kids, that we need to stand up for each other and encourage the good in this world. Never put others down! That’s what Captain Red and Agent Blue also believe in!” He winked the children and left.
