MOTHER STOPPED THE WEDDING WITH THE TRUTH SHE TOLD
April and Zach were waiting for April’s mother to arrive at their wedding, where they were at the venue. April’s mother was coming from Paris, and she wanted to wait for her mother so she would witness April’s happiness.
As they were waiting, a woman scream was heard, “April, honey, STOP THE WEDDING!”
April’s mother Heidi was the one who screamed. She was staring at Zach. “CHRISTIAN?” She then screamed.
“Christian? Who’s that, Mom? This is Zack,” April said as she was confused.
“Don’t play dumb with me, Christian. You shouldn’t be here, especially not with a fake name.” Heidi said.
“Mom, what’s going on? You know Zack?” April said as she was afraid.
“I barely made my flight, but I got here just in time. April, he’s not Zack. He’s Christian, YOUR REAL DAD,” Heidi was angry.
After April heard what her mother said, she fell to the ground. When she opened her eyes, she saw worried faces looking at her. “He’s… my dad?” April sobbed.
“I’m so sorry, honey. The man you were about to marry, he’s your father. We thought he was gone, but he’s been here all along.” Heidi said, then started to told the past story.
Heidi met with Christian in Chicago, in the art gallery she was working for. After they satrted to date, Christian vanished with all the art and savings Heidi had in her life. But the art he stole were fake as Heidi was keeping the original pieces in her safe.
As Heidi went to police station, they informed her that they couldn’t find Christian without a picture. As Heidi begged for help, the officers couldn’t help.
A sketch artist came then, and Heidi described Christian. Then Christian’s posters were all around the town.
As Heidi couldn’t find Christian, she went to his favorite bar and waited for hours. She was hoping that Christian would visit but then she had another idea.
She decided to lure him with the original painting, where he stole the fake one.
She put the original of the fake painting Christian stole to the auction. She was nervous and was waiting for Christian. She then noticed that Christian was pretending to be a rich bidder. Then the officers rushed towards him “Christian, you’re under arrest!”
Then Christian pulled something out of his pocket, and it turned out to be a tear gas. As the officers yelled, “Don’t move!” The room was filled with tear gas. Christian left the auction house with the painting, he was gone again.
Then people accused Heidi as they stated that she was working with Christian. “I was trying to catch him, not help him!” She tried to say, but they didn’t believed. Later she found out that she was pregnant. She ran away to Paris to leave everything behind.
As Heidi told the story, April said with tears in her eyes, “It’s so unfair, what happened to you, Mom.”
“Even after everything with Christian, my love for you, April, keeps me going.” Heidi said.
“I had no idea he was your… he was Christian. I had to stop the wedding, sweetheart,” Heidi continued.
Then they called the police, and explained what happened. As the officers arrived, they took Christian. “He had it all figured out from the start. The art cons, stealing that old painting—he did it all.” Heidi said to the officers.
“And you’re saying he kept the original Renaissance painting all this time?” The detective asked.
“Yes,” another officer who left the interrogation room said. “He’s confessed. The crook intended to sell the painting through a black market auction. He’d been holding onto it for years, waiting for the right moment.”
“You’ve done a lot of damage, Christian,” Heidi said before leaving. “But in the end, justice wins.”
