MOTHER STATED THAT EITHER THE YOUNGEST SISTER WEARS WHITE IN HER OLDEST DAUGHTER’S WEDDING, OR SHE WILL NOT BE ATTENDING

A woman shared her story on Reddit, as she wanted advice from the Redditors. The woman stated that her mother had gave her an ultimatom, as she wanted her younger daughter to wear a white dress at her older daughter’s wedding, or she stated that she will not be attending to her daughter’s wedding.

OP shared that she wanted her bridesmaids to wear purple at her wedding, along with her mentally disabled younger sister, who is 17-year-old, as OP named, Abbie. As her sister never liked to wear dresses, she asked to OP, “Do I need to wear a dress?”

OP shared, “it hurt me to still tell her yes and that I would really appreciate it if she wore a dress. I also told her she didn’t need to wear a super poofy dress like the other girls, but that she could wear something more comfortable.” and she talked with her mother about Abbie’s dress.

And, after her mother and Abbie went for shopping a dress for the wedding, at the picture OP’s mother sent to her, OP saw that Abbie was wearing a white dress. At first, OP thought that her mother was joking, but she responded, when OP texted that if she was joking, and her mother said no.

Then OP asked that she only gave her $200 for the dress, and her mother stated that she paid the rest. Then OP stated that she is not comfortable with her sister’s dress being white, and wanted from her to look for a purple one.

But her mother didn’t take that well, and she called OP that she was selfish and unreasonable. And her mother stated that since her sister was disabled, she should have some priviledges.

At the home, the argument turned into a fight, then her mother gave OP an ultimatom, as she stated that either Abbie wears the white dress to her wedding, or Abbie and herself is not going to attend to her wedding.

OP was shocked with that ultimatom, and wanted to ask for advice from the Redditors. Many Redditors had read the post, as they suggested that the mother of the OP was wrong in her actions, as it is wrong to wear white on someone else’s wedding, especially the wedding of the sister.
