MOTHER KICKED HER SON AND HIS PREGNANT WIFE OUT, WHEN THEY TRIED TO OCCUPY HER DAUGHTER’S ROOM FOR THEIR NURSERY
Mother of two, the OP, shared her story on Reddit’s r/AITA subreddit. She explained that her son and his pregnant wife tried to steal the room of her daughter, after her son and his wife who were living in her house, wanted to make a nursery out of her daughter’s room.
She stated that she lost her husband, when her daughter was 10, and her son was 18. She raised her children as a single mother, and she admitted that it was hard. As she was stressed and anxious of her duties as a single mother, she described that her daughter, Kim was “the apple of her eye.”
As she explained that her daughter had lived through a trauma, she was overprotective of her, and her family stated that she is favoring her. But she was traumatized too, everyone forget that.
She said that her son, Dale, and his wife are expecting her grandchild. She stated that her son was unemployed, so they were staying with the OP for a time, until they are financially stable. After a while later, her daughter-in-law started to weird bad against her daughter, Kim. As the OP stated, “His wife started disrespecting Kim’s privacy.”
She explained that they used Kim’s room as the storage room, and then tried to make a nursery in there. OP declined it, and stated that it is not arguable. As her son understand that, his wife didn’t stopped.
One day, when she came back to home, she saw that her daughter, Kim, was crying in the living room, as she stated that her sister-in-law is turning her room to a nursery. She went up and saw that they were carrying her belongings and bed to the storage room, which made OP mad.
She explained, “I got into an argument with her. I lashed out at her after she said Kim can take the storage room. I told them to leave immediately. They argued for an hour then left.”
After the incident she received calls from family members that she can’t kick her son and her pregnant daughter-in-law, as she is favoring Kim over them. She asked if she was wrong in her actions.
The Redditors who commented under the post stated, her son and daughter-in-law could share their room with their baby, since the OP and sister of her son already making a sacrifice from their privacy as they are hosting them in the house.
Some other redditors stated that a newborn baby doesn’t need the room of a 15-year-old girl, who is in the middle of her teenage years, as she needs her own privacy.
