MELANIA TRUMP GOT CRITICISED FOR HER OUTFIT CHOICE FOR THE MEMORIAL SERVICE OF ROSALYNN CARTER
As Rosalynn Carter was under hospice care, along with her husband, at her home in Plains, Georgia, she passed away on the 19th of November, at the age of 96.
The couple knew eachother for 90 years, as they were neighbors. Jimmy was living next door of Rosalynn when he was only three.
Jimmy’s mother was a nurse, and she helped to the birth of Rosalynn, in 1927. After the World War II, they had married in 1946.
It was 1962, when Jimmy received his seat in the Georgia Senate, as he started his political career. End he became the President of the United Stated when it was 1976.
Rosalynn said, “We developed a partnership when we were working in the farm supply business, and it continued when Jimmy got involved in politics,”
During her years as the First Lady, she was an active speaker for the mental health issues. She had served in the President’s Commission on Mental Health, which passed the Mental Health Systems Act of 1980.
As Jimmy Carter once stated, “It’s hard to live until you’re 95 years old,”
“I think the best explanation for that is to marry the best spouse: someone who will take care of you and engage and do things to challenge you and keep you alive and interested in life.”
After the passing of his wife, Rosalynn, Jimmy Carter had released a statement that read, “Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,”
“She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”
And her son, Chip Carter, had stated, “Her life of service and compassion was an example for all Americans. She will be sorely missed not only by our family but by the many people who have better mental health care and access to resources for caregiving today.”
Her memorial service was held at, Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. U.S. First Ladies, including Dr. Jill Biden, Michelle Obama, Melania Trump, Laura Bush, and Hillary Clinton had attended to the memorial service.
The outfit choice of Melania Trump was criticised at the service, as many of the political figures had chose dark shades. She was wearing a gray coat, with a waist belt.
People had stated that her outfit was fast, as people find it inappropriate to wear at a big political figure’s memorial service.
Many comments were like close to this one;
“Melania can’t wear black?? How disrespectful.”
“The day was about Mrs. Carter, not about what anyone was wearing. Good grief, can’t we even be decent about a funeral anymore?”
