56-year-old talented Actor Mark Ruffalo, is a well known name in the Hollywood, where he had appeared in numerous movies. As he is a successful actor, he is also a successful family man, and a good husband to his loving wife, 51-year-old Sunrise Ruffalo.
The couple is together for 23 tears, but they met in 1998, in Los Angeles. They were walking on the street, as Ruffalo saw Sunrise.
Ruffalo stated, “All I had was my decency, wit, and charm — I didn’t have anything. When I met her, she was like, ‘You don’t have a driver’s license, you don’t have a credit card. What’s wrong with you, dude? I can’t be with you!'”
As Ruffalo was living at a converted garage at that time, Sunfire didn’t mind his financial issues, and trusted his acting talent, which she was sure that he had what it takes to be a famous actor. She started their relationship, as she didn’t even saw him performing.
Since that time, the couple are together, and they are going strong as ever. Mark is using every chance he gets to express the love he feels for his wife. For her 51st birthday, Ruffalo had stated, “So happy we found each other and held on for dear life through everything that came and has left…”
Together, they had three children, Keen, Bella Noche, and Odette Ruffalo. The couple raised their children at their farmhouse, and later, in New York. They returned to the city, after they needed a school with a robust dyslexic program.
Before the couple had welcomed their children, Ruffalo had a close death experience. The tragic story revealed itself, just before the couple had welcomed their first child, Keen. Ruffalo was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Mark stated that he was aware of the tumor, which he saw in his dream, as he shared, “I had this crazy dream that I had a brain tumor. I just woke up, and I just knew that I had a brain tumor. There was no way that I didn’t…”
The CT scan revealed that Mark had an acoustic neuroma, with the size of a walnut, behind his left ear.
For weeks, he didn’t talked about the issue with his pregnant wife, where he was informed that there was 30% chance that he would lose the control of the left side of his face, after the surgery to remove the tumor.
After a week later their child, Keen was born, Mark had talked about the elephant in his mind. And two weeks after he talked about the issue, he underwent the surgery. Ruffalo stated, “I was certain I was going to die.”
He was afraid that he would leave his wife to raise their child alone, and he even made a video for his son to remember him when he was older. But as with luck, his tumor was benign, and the operation was successful.
After the surgery, he quickly recovered. After his experience which was close to his death, he had put his family in front of everything. The proud father, Mark, had raised his children, along with his wife. The children are the spitting image of their fatrher, with their hair and eyes.
As it is weird, the couple had no names for their children, at the time of their birth. Mark had stated that they chosed a name after Keen was born, from a selection of names they thought of, after he was born.
Each day, they tried to call their son, and chose the best fitting name for Keen. He also stated that they had a time limit to chose, before the authorities gave the name.
Odette and her brothers lived in Callicoon, when they were younger, and later, the parents decided to move into the New York City. At that time, the children were attending the Montessori school.
“…Callicoon…ticked off all the boxes for me. The community of people — people mean a lot to me.” Sunrise said about her time in Callicoon.
Ruffalo had thanked his wife about raising their kids, as he was having difficulty to find time in his busy schedule while filming, and thanked his wife for she made it look easier that it is, as he said, “It’s intense…”
