MAN FOUND OUT THAT FOUR OF HIS FIVE CHILDREN WERE NOT ACTUALLY HIS, AFTER DNA TEST
A man shared a story on Reddit, which he revealed that four of his five children were not actually his, after his eldest daughter found out about the matter from an ancestry test. The man left devastated with the newlyfound information.
The man stated that he never had any trust issues with his wife, but his eldest daughter’s ancestry test revealed some terrible news for the family.
“Of course, the first thing I did was reassure her that no matter what, she’s my daughter, and I’ll always love her unconditionally.”
As the father and daughter had doubted the test, they decided to take a paternity test together, and confirmed the results. His eldest daughter was indeed not biologically his child.
“The combination of finding out about my wife’s infidelity and how upset I was making my daughter by how I was reacting. I really wish I had kept it in for her sake, but I didn’t.” The OP said.
As he was suspicious about his other children, he met with them in private, but excluded his youngest teen daughter as he was afraid of her to learn the truth. “We tell the other three what has happened. I reassure them that I love them unconditionally and that I’ll always be their dad, but that I need to know how long this has been going on.”
As they saw their father devastated, they wanted to support him, as they agreed on taking the paternity test, and after the results arrived, they learned that none of them biologically his.
He thought that his wife had multiple affairs, as he was shocked and devastated. He never thought that his wife would do something like this. The man confronted with his wife after what he found out, and he thought that his wife would be shocked and beg him for forgiveness.
But the wife ignored the tests, as she stated that the tests would be false. “We’ve been together since high school. Do you seriously not trust me?” The wife said.
As the man didn’t wanted his 14-year-old teen daughter to not learn what happened, he asked to other Redditors about what to do.
“She had multiple affairs and multiple children with multiple men and can’t even own it when caught. But I never want to be like that person who just says leave. It’s a lot. There’s a lot we don’t know. This is your life.” a Redditor wrote.
The OP responded as he stated that he could no longer hide the truth from his youngest, and wrote, “My top priority right now is her wellbeing. Everyone else is an adult and can handle whatever happens, but she is still young, and I worry that it will seriously negatively affect her development.”
“You’re giving your wife the opportunity to tell her god knows what, and right now, you don’t know who your wife really is or what she’s capable of. She’s not the woman you thought you married. You need to protect your kids from your wife, not the truth.” A different Redditor wrote.
