LIA THOMAS HAD STATED THAT SHE IS THE UNWANTED PERSON, AS SHE SAID, “NOBODY WANTS ME ON THEIR TEAM”
Famous swimmer, Lia Thomas, had recently released a statement that reads as she is the unwanted person in her area, and nobody wants her in their team.
“The waters have been turbulent, not due to the physical demands but the constant battle to seek acceptance and fairness in a sport I adore. No athlete should feel isolated or singled out for their identity rather than recognized for their achievements.” She said in the statement.
She talked about being a transgender person in the women sports of swimming, and how she is feeling lonely, as she is the unwanted person.
Her fans had said that it is a shame and a huge loss for the sport. Added that the sport needs athletes like her, with the compassion, and desire to be in.
While she had received a huge support on her decision, some people had stated that she had gained an advantage, as she was a transgender swimmer, and her physique helped her with her biological female competitors.
The retirement of Lia is a subject for sport experts to talk about, since it is not a retirement because of old age or injury. It is a retirement caused by society, that left a transgender person alone, and to be excluded from the sport that a person loves to be in.
Her leave is not a simple one, because she loves to be in her sport area. There are many levels that we can discuss her departure from the sport, and her rights to be in. It can be questioned that she had advantages over her competitors, in terms of energy capacity, and the difference of hormone leves. But then it comes to her rights as a human being to be in a competition, that she can be allowed to.
