KENADIE THE REAL LIFE THUMBELINA, AND HER STORY
20-year-old Kenadie Jourdin-Bromley, from Ontario, Canada, is the real life Thumbelina with her height that is reaching to only 99 cm. she was only 2.5 lbs, when she was born.
Her rare cardiovascular disease had resulted with her tiny and underdeveloped body, as the doctors who examined her had stated. It is so rare that there are only 100 people or so have the same disease with her.
With her condition, doctors had expected her to be passed away in a short period of time, as she had problems with her digestive system, respiratory problems and brain injury.
As her parents learned her condition and situation, they were devastated naturally. They decided to immediately christen her so that she would have her name, as they thought that they will lost their little girl.
Mother of Kenadie, Brianne had said, “We thought we were going to take her home to die, because that’s what the doctors told us,”
But it turned out that she was a fighter, and to this day, she is still alive, against the odds doctors had stated for her.
Her assistant, Jessica Putnam had stated back in 2016, that, “Kenadie makes me laugh. She’s very empathetic – if you hurt your finger she comes and gives you a hug. She’s got an infectious laugh that makes you want to laugh along with her,”
“My hope for Kenadie’s future– my biggest hope for her– is I want her to be happy. I want her to smile and be successful. If we can get through today, then we’ll see about tomorrow,” Brianne added.
