KELLY PRESTON, LATE WIFE OF JOHN TRAVOLTA, BECAME PREGNANT AT 47 DESPITE THE RISKS
John Travolta met with his late wife Kelly Preston back in 1989, when they were on a screen test for “The Experts.” They got married in 1991, and welcomed three children, a daughter, Ella Bleu, and sons, Benjamin and Jett.
When his son Jett was born in 1992, while his wife Kelly was sleeping, he cradleld his son for hours. “When they came to take him away for various tests, I said, ‘No, you can’t see him today. You’ll have to do it another day.’ I went a little nutsy.”
Sadly, they lost their son Jett in 2009, as John and Kelly were in Bahamas when the caretaker of their son found Jett unconscious in bathroom. The family lawyer Michael Ossi had stated that Jeff experienced a seizure in his family home, and when he fell down, he hit his head in a bathub and lost his life at Rand Memorial Hospital.
Jett was 14 when he psased away, and he was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease when he was only two.
After Jett was born, the couple wanted to have another child, but they later decided to focus on Jett. “I thought maybe we would have another child five years later or so,” Kelly said.
After Jett’s passing, Kelly got pregnant at the age of 47, which she stated that she was feeling that her family was “just really blessed.”
“I never thought that would be me at all. So, I think we’re just really happy that we’re so fortunate.” Kelly added.
Benjamin was born on November 23, 2010. As the family stated, Kelly and Benjamin were healthy after birth, and that their daughter Ella was happy to be sister again.
“It’s so wonderful to bring another child into the world and to look at things through his eyes. He’s so innocent and so, just so sweet,” Kelly said.
For her son, Benjamin’s name, “It’s also a really gentle name,” Kelly said. After losing their son, Kelly stated that Benjamin helped the family to heal after losing their son Jett.
“We’ve gotten the most beautiful letters. And the most beautiful notes of happiness,” Kelly stated.
Kelly stayed in her son’s life until 2017, which John Travolta announced her passing from his social media account. Kelly was struggling with breast cancer, and after two years of battling with the disease, she lost her life.
“Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.” John Travolta shared.
Benjamin had celebrated his birthday in 2023, where his sister Ella Bleu Travolta had celebrated his birthday with a picture of their mother, when Benjamin was a toddler. “Happy Birthday, my sweetest Benjamin. It feels like yesterday you were this young, and now you’re 13!! I love you!❤️🎉.”
“Ben turns 13 today. I love you, my son!” John Travolta shared his son’s birthday.
