INJURED LITTLE BOY HELPED A NEW MOM WITH THE STROLLER, ON THE NEXT DAY, THE HUSBAND OF THE WOMAN APPEARED ON THE BOY’S PORCH
Robert was watching his friends playing basketball. He always wanted to be a star basketball player one day, but noone believed him, as the 12-year-old boy was born with a complication, where his leg had to be amputated, and was wearing his prosthetic leg.
After the game was over, Robert took his backpack, and headed to the bus station. As he was a regular of the bus, and the driver knew him, he had a reserved seat in the bus. The driver also knew Robert’s mother, Rebecca, and how they were struggling after Robert’s father Harry abandoned his family.
After his father left them, Robert lost a part of his childhood. But he needed to be strong for his mother.
“You have to go to school and study well. Don’t let anything stop you from achieving your dreams,” Rebecca would say to Robert.
It was five years ago, last time Robert saw his father, after Harry left his family for another woman. He was giving everything to his new family, while his ex-wife and his son were struggling.
As the bus stopped on the next station, a new mother was waiting with the stroller, where she had her baby sleeping. Robert watched the woman struggle, and decided to help, while no other person tried.
“Miss, hold the other side, careful…easy…easy,” Robert said while he hold the stroller. Then the conducter stepped in and the stroller was in the bus.
“Thank you so much!” The mother said to Robert, who was limping back to his seat. Then pointed his seat, “Do you want to sit, miss?” he asked her. “There’s some space left. Please sit.”
Sandra sat next to Robert. After she noticed the basketball keychain on his backpack, “You like to play basketball?!” She asked.
Robert’s eyes got teary, “I love basketball. I want to become a state-level player. I used to play every day with my daddy. But I don’t have anybody to train me after he left us.”
“Left you?” Sandra asked, and Robert explained his story.
“My husband was a basketball player too,” Sandra said then, before she left the bus as the station she would leave the bus arrived. As Robert stand up to help, “I can get down, sweetheart. My mom-in-law is waiting at the stop. Thanks a bunch!” Sandra said.
On the next day, as it was Saturday and the school was off, Robert was watching basketball games, and she heard a knock on the door. When robert opened the door, he noticed a tall man was waiting at their porch.
“Sir, how may I help you?” Robert asked as he was shocked to see a tall man with a basketball.
Then the tall man gave a bag to Robert, which inside there was shorts and jerseys. “Champ, get ready for practice. I’ve come to train you. Don’t you wanna represent your school in the next state-level match?!”
The man was Jacob, Sandra’s husband who was an ex-military and a former basketball player. For the next six months Jacob had trained Robert, and motivated him to work hard, and jump over every obstacle on his way.
After a test match, Robert was picked for the school team, to represent his school in the inter-school tournament.
Few months later, his father Harry learned the popularity of his son, and apologized for his actions. From that point onwards, Harry attended to every game Robert played. As Robert was happy that his father returned, he kept his loyalty to Sandra and Jacob, who had helped him.
