INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF MONEY RAISED BY 10-YEAR-OLD BOY, TO HELP GATHERIN BULLETPROOF VESTS FOR POLICE DOGS
10-year-old boy from Strongsville, Ohio, Brady Snakovsky, had raised incredible amount of money, when he learned two years ago that the police dogs are not provided with bulletproof vests, as their handlers are, and Snakovsky thought that this is not right, so he did the heroic thing, and raised $315,000.
As it is reported, Snakovsky was sitting with his mother, Leah Tornabene, and they were watching Live PD. And from there he learned that the police dogs are not provided with the same protection elements as their handlers are, while they ran into dangerous occasions.
As he was not okay with the situation, 10-year-old Snakovsky decided to create a GoFundMe page for to provide bulletproof vests to the K-9s of the force.
In the February of 2018, Snakovsky was able to buy four vests to the police dogs of the Ohio State Troopers.
With communication to the local congressmen, and the help he received from their support, he started to raise his voice to help.
And today, approximately 257 police dogs are provided with bulletproof vests from the fund of $315,000, Snakovsky raised.
His mother, Leah Tornabene had stated to CNN that, “We were watching the show together and I didn’t even notice that the dog wasn’t wearing a vest. I was quite surprised that a child at age eight could recognise that there was an issue there, and that he could find a solution to fix that problem. It made me very proud to see him doing this.”
As his stepfather, Snakovski wants to be a police officer too, to keep people safe. About his love that he feels towards police dogs, he said, “I like seeing the smile on the handler’s face,”
