IN THE RECENT MASS SHOOTING, TWO BEST FRIENDS HAD LOST THEIR LIVES, AS THEY TRIED TO STOP THE ARMED CRIMINAL
On the Wednesday night, a terrible mass shooting had happened, as 18 people had lost their lives. The shooter is identified as Robert Card, and a massive manhunt is on going at the moment.
The terrible crime happened in Lewiston, Maine, and the armed criminal is still escaping, and the authorities are in pursuit of him.
Back in July, while the 40-year-old mass shooter was in training at the US Military Academy at West Point, he had unstable actions while he was in training, and that caused concerns, and later he was transferred to a mental health care facility for examination.
As it was stated, Robert Card had threatened to assault the military base, as he stated that he will start a shooting in the Saco, Maine.
Mike Deslauriers ll and Jason Walker, the two bestfriends were at the location, where the mass shooting happened. Unfortunately, both of them had lost their lives, while they tried to stop the mass shooter.
Their mutual friend, Alan Johnson, had paid his respects to the bestfriends from his Facebook account, and stated, “They are the embodiment of true heroes,”
“Mike was a friend of mine and fellow colleague. He was a the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back, no questioned asked. He will be greatly missed. Please pray for both of their family members. Pray for peace, forgiveness, and comfort.”
Father of Deslauriers II, Michael Deslauriers Sr. had released a statement from his Facebook account too.
He had stated that it is, “the hardest news for a father to ever have to share.”
“This is Michael Deslauriers Sr and I have the hardest news for a father to ever have to share. My son Michael Deslauriers II and his dearest friend Jason Walker were murdered last night at the bowling alley. They made sure their wives and several young children were under cover then they charged the shooter.“
After the terrible events, authorities had believed that Card had escaped to his brothers house at Bowdoin, a town east of Lewiston, and called him out as, “Robert Card, you’re under arrest. We know you’re inside. Come out with your hands up. We don’t want anyone to get hurt.”
As it is reported, Robert Card, the shooter, was not in the house, after the authorities had searched the house of his brother.
The manhunt for Robert Card is still in pursuit.
