HUSBAND TOOK A FALSE PATERNITY TEST, AND DUE TO THAT RESULT, KICKED HIS WIFE AND BABY OUT OF THE HOUSE
A man had shared his story on Reddit’s r/AITA subreddit. He explained that over a false paternity test, he kicked his wife and baby out of the house, and after he learned that the test was false, he took another test. Then he learned that he was indeed the father, but things went wrong on his wife’s side.
The father had described his wife of 14 years as, “beautiful, supportive, kind, classy, and all around amazing as a wife.” then he explained the details of how he messed his marriage up. He stated that before their marriage, she got pregnant and his wife asked that, “She told me she would only keep it if I was 100% in on the baby and the marriage, I said I was fully committed, and we kept the baby.”
As time passed, he started to feel insecure about himself, and started to think that he couldn’t be the father. He was feeling it in his gut. He explained, “I was internally agonizing over this for months, and after the baby was born, I could barely even hold him because I was so convinced he wasn’t mine.”
After some time, he demanded a paternity test. His wife was upset, but accepted his demand to ease his mind, and the results showed that he was not the father. He went mad and stormed the house as he screamed at his shocked wife.
As he was screaming, she did nothing but to calm the baby, and he got angrier with her behaviour. Then he kicked her out, with the baby.
She then called him on the next day, and asked for another test. As he thought that he had nothing to lose, he took another test, and the new results came as they stated that he was the father.
He explained that he waited for the third test. “I wait a few days and don’t say anything, then get the second set of results, also confirming I’m the father.” Then he decided to apologize, and be the father of his child.
As he called his wife to let her now that he was indeed the father, she stated that she is not coming back to a terrible man, who acted so violently and immaturely, without even listened her and kicked her out. His wife said, “She tells me I can come see my son, but she will be filing for divorce.”
As the OP stated that he didn’t overreacted, and it is his right to demand a DNA test, the Redditors were not on the same page as the OP. They had stated that what he did was terrible, as he kicked his wife and child out. Without listening, or confirming the test with another one.
