HIS FRIENDS IN SCHOOL HAD HELPED HIM WITH FOOD, AND AFTER HE BECAME A RICH MAN, HE VISITED THEM

Hector was coming from a poor family. His father was working as a cleaning staff, at a local cafe. His mother was working as a maid. So they were not making good amount of money.
As they were able to provide food for Hector, things got changed when his father had a stroke. As he was binded to his bed, Hector’s mother was the sole worked in the house.
Hector was feeling terrible about the situation, so he wanted to contribute. He talked with his mother, but she refused. She said, “If you want to help us, Hector, don’t give up on school. Right now, that’s the only thing that can change your fate and our fate as well.”
As his school friends were having fun in their lives, with their expensive toys, new clothes every week and shoes, Hector was not. But Hector was not hurt that he was not receiving shoes or clothes, he was hurt that he couldn’t eat lunch in school. He would cry, sitting on the background, clutching his stomach.

“It’s ok!” Hector would say to himself. “I’m not hungry!”
As his mother was the only worker in their house, she was only paying for their rent, and they were mainly eating two meals a day. Sometimes his mother would pack him a banana, but Hector was sick of eating banana.
As usual, he went to the playground, where he was staying during lunchtime. He saw a box, with a note over in “Delicious!” Was written over the box. As Hector was hungry, he opened the box and saw a tuna sandwich and a cookie.
As Hector was feeling guilty, he ran away after he took the food, and eat them as he hide. He said “I’m sorry,” quietly.

As he was thinking that the lunchbox was not for him, he saw the box again on the next day, and the next day, and the next…
He ate three days in a row, and decided not to on the fourth day. On that day, his classmates had surrounded him. “What’s wrong, guys?” Hector asked.
His friend, Tom asked, “Hector, why did you stop eating from the lunchbox?”
“Everyone saves food for you!”
Hector was in tears, “You guys left the box? Why?”
“We didn’t want to hurt you,” his other friend, Stacey said.

“We know you are hungry, and you cry and… I told Mommy to pack me more food so I could give it to you. We didn’t want to tell you we were helping you because Mommy said we needed to protect your dignity. I don’t know what dignity is, but Mommy is always right…”
For many years, his friends had helped him with his lunch. They never judged him with his financial status, of his family’s situation. They were just helping their friend, Hector, who was in need.
As years passed, Hector had created his own business, and through his company, he became a rich man. As he reached to a point, where he was financially available for anything, he was feeling that something was missing. He wanted to find and repay to his classmates.
His secretary had helped Hector a lot. Some of his classmates were living in the same city. Some of them were living abroad, so he couldn’t contact them, but the friends of his who were in town, Hector invited them to his house, after he paid a visit to them.
When they arrived at his home, Hector learned that some of his friends were in bad shape. But almost all of them were struggling with something. Some of them having problems with their kids school, some of them lost people they loved.

Seeing his friends in pain hurted Hector. So he wanted to do something for them, as they had helped Hector a lot during his school time.
And Hector realized in the BBQ party he throw for his friend at his backyard, as long as they were together, they were having fun, and the misery they were living in, was gone.
