As the couple, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher had married in 2015, tried their best for five years to create their old barn house in Los Angeles, which is built on the hilltop.
For the creation of their grand house, they received help from architect Howard Backen and interior designer Vicky Charles.
When Kunis talked about the house she built with her husband, she said, “We wanted the house to look like an old barn, something that had been here for decades, that was then converted into a house. But it also had to feel modern and relevant.”
First, they started to work with Howard Backen, for their dream barn house. For the occasion, Kunis said, “Building a house from the ground up is no small thing. This was either going to make us or break us.”
As Kunis revealed, the couple wanted to build the house for their children, as they wanted to create a space for them to interact with various things.
For the couple, they wanted a place of peace, a home for themselves, as Kutcher said for their home, “If the world around you isn’t in order, it’s hard to get your brain in order. When we’re in our home, the world just makes sense.”
As they are incredibly private for their family, they never share pictures for their children. As sometimes they are seen outside with their children, 9-year-old Wyatt Isabelle, and 7-year-old Dimitri Portwood, they never share pictures of their children from their social media accounts.
Kutcher had stated about his parenthood, “For me, the No. 1 role I will ever play is to be a father. It’s the most important role in my life,”
“I have no hubris about the notion that I have any control over what they choose to do. I just hope that I can make them really good decision-makers.”
As he stated that he is always in comunication with their children, “It seemed like overnight we both turned to our kids and were like, ‘You are half Ukrainian, half American.’ It instantly became a thing, and they’re like, ‘Yeah, I get it, mom.'”
Kunis said about the situation, “But it is ultimately incredibly important to know where you came from. It’s beautiful, it’s amazing to have multiple cultures. It’s a beautiful thing to have out there. We shouldn’t all be alike. We shouldn’t all think alike. That’s not the importance of community and growth.”
The couple met on the set of, That 70s Show, in 1998. They were also a couple in the show, Jackie and Michael.
Kunis stated in an interview that happened in 2001, that she said she had a crush on Kutcher. As she revealed in 2016 that they kept staying in touch, Kutcher had married with Demi Moore, and Kunis dated with Macaulay Culkin.
As they seperated from their partners in the same year, they started their romance, which Demi Moore had talked about the situation in her memoir, Inside Out.
She had talked about the problems in their marriages, which left Kutcher terrified. As a source stated, Kutcher was in the process of writing the book, as she started to write her book while still married with Kutcher, and it was about her past, and career. After their divorce, the book turned into their marriage and she accues Kutcher with cheating.
In the book, Moore stated that she had two threesomes with Kutcher, as the details Moore gave in her book ashamed Kutcher. She stated that it was Kutcher’s fantasy, and she accepted because she, “put him first.”
If we return to the Old Barn House of the couple, as they had lived through hard times together, they wanted to create a new future for them with their barn themed house.
For the interior design of the house, they had worked with, Charles of Charles & Co.
As she appeared in an interview with Live With Kelly and Ryan, Mila Kunis stated that the worth of their house is around $11 million.
