HER MOTHER-IN-LAW HAD ALWAYS FOUND SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT HER DAUGHTER-IN-LAW’S FOOD IN THANKSGIVINGS

As classic, Emma had prepared her foor for the Thanksgiving gettogether of her family. When the door ranged, her mother-in-law Margaret arrived. She was a woman that was critic of everything Emma did.
As she entered the house, she had swept the area with her eyes, to find something to talk about. She was already sad that she was there, it could be seen in her eyes.
Emma had stated, “My MIL, Margaret, never holds back on criticizing my cooking. This Thanksgiving was no exception. She sighed dramatically, deeming my turkey ‘too dry,’ salad ‘too salted,’ and potatoes ‘awful,'”
Then she had brought her own pumpkin pie, it was a disgrateful act towards the efforts of Emmy, who spent hours in the kitchen.
Other family members were not happy with the situation that Margaret had created. Then out of the nowhere, daughter of Emma, Lilly, shouted “Look!”, as she was pointing to a cockroach, that was looking from the pumpkin pie Margaret had brought.
As everyone was shocked, Emma acted quickly, and got rid of the insect infested pie out of the table. Then she brought her own pie to the table.
As their dinner had continued, Emma decided to thank to everyone who had attended to the Thanksgiving dinner. She had stated that their family is a treasure that everyone should be aware of.
As they had finished their desserts, and started to leave, Margaret had whispered to Emma as she hugged, “I’m sorry for my constant criticism, especially for my behavior tonight. Thank you for being the bigger person. My son is truly fortunate to have you as his wife.”
On that moment, Margaret showed the gratitude towards her daughter-in-law, as she saved her from an embarrasment.
