HER FIANCE WANTED HER TO CHANGE HER WEDDING DRESS, AS HE DID NOT WANT HER TO WEAR WHITE, BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT A VIRGIN

A Redditor shared a terrible experience from her wedding that she cancelled. She shared her story on Reddit’s r/OffMyChest subreddit. She stated that her fiance wanted her to wear a different color than white at the wedding, since she was not “pure”, because she was not a virgin.
The OP explained that she had a six years of relationship with her fiance, and they engaged eight months before their wedding. As she was on the head of the wedding planning, her fiance did not put effort much.
Then one day, his fiance came and stated that she shouldn’t wear a white wedding dress. As she was believing that her fiance was an artistic guy, she thought that he might have an idea, but she made her mind about wearing white, and she didn’t changed her mind. As her fiance was annoyed, he didn’t said much that time.
As OP bought her wedding dress, they had a great fight. As her fiance came again, and see the white dress, he lost it. As she couldn’t understand why he was acting that weirdly, she asked what was wrong. Her fiance stated that she should wear red. Then OP explained, “I asked him why I would wear red to our wedding, and he told me that brides only wear white when they are pure.”
Then she gave some background information. As she was 21, and her fiance was 20, at the time they started dating, OP wasn’t a virgin and her fiance was. At the beginning of their relationship, that was a problem for her fiance, but later he stopped talking about it.
As her fiance talked with his mother, but she stood with her bride, and they tried to reason her fiance about showing her virginity, “pureness” with a dress.
When her mother-in-law stated that he is not a virgin too, so he should wear a red suit, her fiance left the room crying.
OP shared, “This all has honestly made me question even marrying this man. I don’t know if it’s just because everything is so fresh but I’m really disgusted by him. He’s not even religious so I know this is just about him still thinking about me losing my virginity at 18 before I even knew him.”
The Redditors who read the story stated that she should cancel the wedding, as he is not a sane man, and later on their marriage, he could create more problems that would lower the OP’s quality of life.
One Redditor commented, “Poor old Ryan. In his late 20s now. Gonna find tracking down a virgin for his next partner even trickier. Not to mention getting his mind blown first time he goes to a wedding where the brides is in white and her children are there.”
