HER FIANCE CHANGED HER WEDDING DRESS BEHIND HER BACK, WHEN HIS MOTHER LIKED ANOTHER DRESS FOR THE BRIDE

28-year-old woman had shared her wedding story on Reddit’s r/AITA subreddit. She had stated that her fiance had changed her wedding dress, with the dress that his mother liked more than what the bride chose for her self.
28-year-old OP had shared that she is going to marry with her 33-year-old fiance, and explained that the mother of her fiance is too intrusive. But she stated that overally, the future mother-in-law is a nice person.
But she explained that the wedding planning went horrible for them, as the mother of the fiance had interfered with almost everything. Also, her fiance had said to the OP that since he was the only son of his mother, she should respect his mother, and her “vision,” that she is using for their wedding.
When the OP was going to pick a dress for the wedding, her future in-law wanted to come along. OP, her mother, her future in-law, and some of her friends went for shopping, and she found the dress that she would like to wear. But her future in-law had other ideas, as she picked another dress for OP, and shared that, “she always pictured her son’s bride in it,” the OP thanked her future in-law for her “vision,” and she stated that she already “envisioned” herself with the dress she picked for herself.
OP explained that her future in-law must have talked with her son, because when her fiance came home from work, he started an argument about how OP upset his mother, and “turned down,” the vision of his mother, that she was only trying to help her. Her fiance stated that his mother had felt excluded herself from the part of chosing a dress.
OP stated that it was her wedding dress, and she was the one that who is going to be in it at their wedding, so she wanted the freedom to chose her own wedding dress. But her fiance was pushy about the dress his mother had picked for her, and stated that she should consider the other dress.
On the next days, when she came back from work, she found out that her dress was changed with the dress that her future in-law had picked for her. The fiance had changed the dresses, and said to OP that she should give the dress a chance. OP shared that she got mad and said, “I lost it and started screaming at him.”
As her fiance tried to calm her down, OP stated, “I refused to even listen I screamed at him without giving him a chance to speak.”
Then she left to stay with her friend for the night. Her fiance had called her constantly, and texted her that what she doing is wrong, and it is not only her wedding, it his wedding too. He continued with saying that his mother has this “vision,” and she is only trying to help, and wants what best for her son and her future daughter-in-law.
The Redditors who saw the story had commented a lot under the post. Mostly they were talking about how wrong the future in-law’s actions were, and how her fiance was momma’s boy.
