Lucas was a son of a millionaire family, and he was married to their housemaid and had a child, but he was living a different life, as he was going out too much and too often.
One day, his wife, Alice had said, “Lucas, I can’t deal with this anymore! You can’t just go out every night! We have a baby!”
“Please, shut up already! You really think I married you because of… ugh… love?” Lucas said, and added, “Don’t be insane!”
“What are you talking about? We dated and got married because we loved each other,” Alice said as she was confused with the things Lucas said.
“Alice! Are you an idiot? You were the maid at my house! You think I would fall for the MAID?” shouted Lucas.
“Why then? Why did we get married?” Alice asked.
“Because I HAD TO!! I HAD TO! My parents said that I had to settle down and have a child, or they would cut me off completely!” Lucas shouted again, as he want to hurt Alice with his words.
It was two years ago when his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and stated that Lucas should settle down now a she became 32 years old. They had enough with his partying lifestlye and stated that he would receive a good position if he does too.
And at that time, Alice was working at their house as a maid. She was madly in love with Lucas, but she was hiding her feelings, even if it was the hardest thing for her to do.
So Lucas’ father had stated that if he wouldn’t marry in a year, he would lose everything he has. He had thought for a person that would marry with in instantly, then remembered that Alice had a crush on him and he started to move towards her. Shortly they had started dating and he had tricked his parents.
In three months they had married and Lucas’ parents became happy as they thought that their son would recover from his bad behaviours.
But Lucas had never changed, and only covered his bad behaviours and kept partying in secret from his wife and his parents.
“That’s the truth! I was born with a golden spoon, and I’ve been around the most beautiful women in the world. Did you think I would look at the maid in my parents’ house? Are you really that stupid? You were just the easiest solution to the problem! Also, I haven’t been on ‘business trips,’” Lucas continued on his words to Alice.
“I was in Dubai, St. Barts, Fiji, and everywhere else with Victoria’s Secret models.”
Alice had cried a lot, she felt that everything was a lie, and her world collapsed.
“Oh, now you’re crying. For God’s sake! You know what? I’m tired of you. Get out of my house now! I’m going to ask for a divorce soon. I’ll say we didn’t work and since my parents have the grandchild they wanted they won’t care about someone like you!” Lucas had shouted.
“Fine! But I’m taking my son with me!” Alcie said.
“Whatever,” Lucas murmured.
Alice had took the new car that her ın-laws had gifted her and carried her and her son’s stuff in it. She had no family, since she was an orphan that had grew in an orphanage.
So she decided to go to the house of her in-laws. When she arrived, Mrs. Johnson had saw her and she learnt that something happened between her and Lucas, but Alice gave no details.
Mrs. Johnson had stated that she is most welcome and also was happy that she had time to spent with her grandson.
“Don’t worry, Alice. Tomorrow, we’ll go to your penthouse and talk some sense in my son,” Mr. Johnson said to her.
“Alice, I know you guys fought, but married couples do that all the time. Come on. Open the door, and let’s go in,” said Mrs. Johnson when they arrived on their house. As Alice had no intentions to go back, she had no other option.
As they entered the house, Alice saw that Lucas was talking to another man, and he said, “Here, she is, George. This is my wife, Alice, and my son. Of course, you already know my father.”
“George Finberg, my boy! How are you?” said Mr. Johnson.
“Honey, let me introduce you to Henry Finberg’s son, George.”
“Of course! Delighted to meet you,” Mrs. Johnson said.
Alice had noticed that Lucas was sweating and something was off as she thought from her husbands behaviour.
“It’s nice to meet you too, Mrs. Johnson, and a great pleasure to you, Mr. Johnson. My father has always told me great things about you,” said George, as he was looking at Alice.
“Naturally, your father is one of my oldest friends. But what are you doing here?” Mr. Johnson wondered.
“Actually, I’m here to see Alice,” George said.
“What?” said Alice, as she was shocked.
“Hello, my name is George, and I’ve been searching for you my entire life,” George said.
“Why?” Alice asked.
