HE HAD INVITED HIS 89-YEAR-OLD NEIGHBOR TO LIVE WITH HIM, SINCE SHE NEEDED SOMEONE TO CARE FOR HER
Chris Salvatore and Norma Cook had met in 2017. They were neighbors in the same building, living next to each other.
Salvatore had stated that Norma was his best friend, as he had invited her with a bottle of champagne, as they had created a bond.
Few years later, Norma had diagnosed with leukemia, and since she was old, she had chose not to receive treatment.
As her doctors stated that she needs to be taken care of, Salvatore had stepped in, and moved in with Norma, in her time of need.
Then Salvatore, had created a GoFundMe page for Norma and, he raised $50,000 in a month for Norma.
“I believe that human kindness is a magical thing and can heal what doctors can’t.” Salvatore said.
Sadly, Norma lost her battle, and passed away in 2017. Salvatore had stated after her that, “She was a beautiful human. She changed the world with her big heart and ability to speak with anyone of any age.”
In 2019, Salvatore had stated that it is hurting not being able to talk with Norma, and thanked his followers, because they didn’t left them alone, on her journey against the leukemia.
“We were complete strangers with years between us but still were able to love each other through all of our differences.”
In 2021, Salvatore had shared a picture he took with Norma, and stated, “Beautiful, Bountiful, Blessings bestowed upon those you never knew.”
