HALLE BERRY AND HER STRUGGLE TO KEEP HER DAUGHTER AS SHE HAD FOUGHT FOR HER CUSTODY
Talented, Oscar winner actress, Halle Berry has two children. Recently she had celebrated her daughter, Nahla’s 15th birthday as she stated, One of the greatest gifts the universe has given me is my daughter, Nahla.”
“smart, powerful, dynamic, and beautiful as her mother.”
“gorgeous just like her Momma.”
Were some of the comments her fans had stated under her birthday celebration post.
She had her children with her ex-husband, Gabriel Aubry. As she wanted to be a mother a lot, once she found out that she was pregnant with Nahla, she had took 35 more tests to confirm that she was pregnant.
“I loved every second of it,” she said about her pregnancy sickness and vomiting.
“I may only do this one time, so I want this moment to be as big as it can be. I want the biggest bang I can possibly imagine.” She had stated about her first pregnancy, as she wanted to document every moment of it.
As she had thought that her relationship with Aurby was more than real, and believed that they had a connection beyond their understanding, they had failed in their relationship.
“I feel more married in a way than I ever have in two marriages before,” she said at the time about her marriage with Aurby.
As they were divorcing, she wanted to move to France as she had two stalkers behind her that was threatning her with killing, she also wanted to protect her daughter from Aurby’s different ways of thoughts.
Halle Berry had stated that her ex-husband had made racial comments about her daughter and dyed Nahla’s hair blonde. Berry had said that the father of her daughter was creating a hostile environment for her that it would affect her development.
She had stated that Aurby had straighened her daughter’s hair so that she would look more “American.”
A source close to them had stated that Aubry had said, “Halley is a great mom; she wants to keep Nahla on an even keel.” And confirmed that he had said racial stuff to Berry.
She had stated that she has proof of how he was playing with her daughter’s hair to make it more “American,” and said that Aurby is trying to change her roots.
“I feel she’s black. I’m black, and I’m her mother and I believe in the one-drop theory.” Berry stated that she wanted her daughter to know that she is from a black heritage too and wants her to be aware of herself, and her roots.
After two years of fighting for custody, they had agreed on joint custody. But after a while, Aurby got arrested as he had a fistfight with Olivier Martinez, which who was engaged with Berry at that time.
“I’m not going to speak on alimony as I have never asked for it nor have I ever paid it. However, as for child support, I feel I can speak on it because I have been paying it for a decade now.” Berry said.
Berry is an amazingly committed mother to her children. She even received an award from Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA’s Kaleidoscope Award.
She then had traveled with her daughter for The World Food Program to Nicaragua, when her daughter was at the age of seven.
“I’ve fought really hard to protect their privacy, and I just want them to have their life and have it be theirs,” Berry said about her children.
“Use your voice. You have a right to be heard. You are loved and accepted just as you are. Only you define who you are.” She says to her daughter.
She wants nothing but the best for her children, and she wants to accept themselves first, rather than try to prove themselves to the others.
