GROOM KICKED OUT THE WOMEN OF HIS FAMILY, AFTER THEY “TESTED” HIS BRIDE AT THE WEDDING
A man had shared a story on Reddit’s r/AITA subreddit. The Original Poster stated that he kicked out the females of his family, after they tried to “test” his bride at their wedding. The OP explained the unmeaningful tradition of the women of his family, and asked that if he was wrong.
The OP shared that he has a large family of cousins and aunts. And he explained that all the women in his family are into teasing and joking the new members of the family. As OP stated, the women are created a unit, and they are testing the new members, by pushing them to the edge, to see their character.
As he introduced his girlfriend to his family, the OP stated that there will be no mocking, or pranking against his girlfriend. But they did anyway, and he learned that. OP made all the women in his family apologize from his girlfriend. They stated, as OP shared, “”we’re just testing the water to see if she’s capable to be part of the family” excuse”.”
At first they didn’t wanted to apologize, but when OP stated that if they will not be invited to his wedding, they apologized.
And at the wedding, he heard some rumors that the women will pull a prank on his bride, and they will all wear white, as they called, the “ultimate test”. His brother had warned the OP about the prank. And then OP talked with the women of his family again, as he threatened that he will kick everyone of them if they prank her.
As OP waited at the enterance, he kicked every female member, who attended to the wedding with white dress, even his stepmother. He shared that his father had supported him in his decision, and helped him to kick them out.
OP shared his feelings as, “I felt absolutely awful because my wedding was being interrupted by them making scenes.”
After the events of his wedding, his family started to blast him on social media, as they kept bullying his wife, about being insecure, as they wrote, “she couldn’t handle another woman’s presence at her wedding”.
