FIONA GOLFAR OF DAILYMAIL HAD EXPLAINDE THE CHANGE OCCURED IN VICTORIA’S SECRET

Fiona Golfar of DailyMail, had talked about the change that occured in Victoria’s Secret, as they had felt the economical damage the woke culture brings.

She had stated that the brand used to the name for sexy, as they had the sexiest, the best models in the fashion business, that were working with them.
She had added that the “angels” had changed with, as the world changed their look for beauty. They turned from angelic beauty models, in order to normalize the bodies of every women, and acceptence of self love, as the woke culture had affected everything in the world.
She gave an example from her daughter, as when she was in her teen years, even her was interested with their sexy shows, and now when she had asked her, her 25-year-old daughter had stated that she doesn’t anymore.
With their choice to bring up the plus sized models in their shows, and putting the sexy stuff behind, as they were once their priority, had affected their sales, as they she had stated, “go woke, go broke”.

Because they are going down in their finance charts, they decided to go back to their true self, and bring sexy back in their products.
She had praised their decision and said, “And I, for one, say hurrah for that!”
She also added that she would feel sexier, if she had wore the same thing that Adriana Lima did, “if I wear the same lingerie as fashion thoroughbreds such as Adriana Lima, I can feel sexy, too.”
She later on pointed out the scandals that rised inside the brand, with the MeToo movement.
Back in 2018, the marketing head of that time, Ed Razed had been criticised when he stated that they will never use plus sized models in their shows.
A year later, Razed cut ties with the brand, as in 2020, he was accused with abusive behaviour towards the models, which he had denied the accusations.
And again in 2019, when New York Times had reported that there were connection between the brand and arrested pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, their credibility even went down further.
And with the affect it brought to their financial profit, they had a u turn in their choices, and decided to bring sexy back.
“And I believe its customers just weren’t ready for this dramatic transformation.” Fiona added about the change they are going for.
“What’s sexy should be defined by women — not by a boardroom desperately trying to be woke.” Fiona had concluded.
