FATHER WAS SHOCKED WHEN HIS 5-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER TOLD HIM THAT SHE WAS NOT HIS REAL DAUGHTER
Josh was shocked when his daughter, five-year-old Amy said to him, “Daddy, you know you’re not my real daddy, right?”
Josh first thought that she picked it up from TV, or from her playing with her friends. He laughed it off, and corrected Amy carefully. But when he saw Amy’s eyes, he felt nervous as there was something different in Amy’s eyes.
The way Amy said, made her words so real and factual, which Josh felt devastated. He was feeling heartbreak, and now he started to questioning the reason why his daughter said these words.
“Who is your real dad then, sweetie?” Josh asked then, while he was thinking of questions to ask to his wife, Jill.
“Who is your real dad then, sweetie?” Amy said without waiting, and turned to play with her toys.
Josh was shocked again. As he was thinking how to talk with his wife about the matter, without hurting his wife, he was also scared that if it was the truth.
As he talked what his daughter said with his wife, Jill laughed it off, but it was a nervous laugh as Josh felt it. Then he realized that something was off about the matter.
So he took his nephew Kyle, Andrew’s son, and watched the interaction between Amy and Kyle. Then Josh heard a question Amy asked to Andrew. “When are we going to tell Josh that you’re my real Daddy?”
“Soon, sweetie. But until then, you should keep it a secret.”
Josh’s heart skipped a beat as he was devastated. He kept himself calm on the outside, but on the inside, he was screaming endlessly. He was incredibly angry.
He directly confronted with Jill, as now he was aware of the situation. As Jill’s demeanor changed immediately, after she heard what Amy and Andrew talked about, she started to cry, as she confessed that she had a one night stand with Andrew, and she kept it as a secret as she didn’t wanted to destroy their marriage.
Jill accused Josh with working so hard that he neglected her, and pushed her to do this, and in a moment of weakness, she fell into Andrew’s arms.
So Josh wanted a DNA test, as he stated that it was non-negotiable. He wanted to learn the truth about the matter, as he didn’t wanted to feel devastated.
After he took the test, and when the results arrived few days later, Josh learned that Amy was his, and he was relieved, as he was thinking of the memories where he was happy with his beloved daughter.
Josh immediately started to create a stronger bond with his duaghter, to keep her mind away from other disturbing thoughts for Josh, and to keep her in his side for the legal and emotional battles which were coming.
He then handed over the divorce papers to Jill, as he accepted joint custody for the sake of his daughter, he was aware that Amy needed stability in her life, between her parents.
