FATHER DEMANDED A DNA TEST ON HIS MIDDLE CHILD, AS HE DID NOT BELIEVE THAT THE BOY FROM HIM BECAUSE HE WAS NOT LOOKING LIKE HIM

A father had stated on Reddit’s r/relationship_advice subreddit, that he wanted a paternity test on his middle son, since he wasn’t resembling him, while his oldest and youngest are spitting image of their father. After some arguments, she accepted, and the drama started afterwards.

The father had stated that he is been married to his wife for 12 years, and they have three children. As he shared, he always believed that his middle son was not from him, as he stated that his feelings towards his middle son were complicated.

Then he decided to confront his wife about the issue, and demanded a paternity test. That lead to a devastated wife, because for his wife, cheating was an incredibly unforgiven act. The OP had stated that the test would relieve him from the stress, because he couldn’t bear it any longer. The unwillingless of his wife had created more suspicion on his mind, so he stated that if she has nothing to hide, they should have the test.

As he pushed her, she accepted, and they had the paternity test. The results showed that he was indeed the father, and as he relieved, then his wife stated that she will go to her parents house with the kids, since she needed some time away from him to think.

The father asked for the reason of her leaving, and she stated that she is thinking of a divorce, since she was accused of something that she finds incredibly dealbreaker. She explained that her husband knew her perspective about cheating, and he accused her.

She was also thinking about her son, as he went through something he didn’t deserved. As the OP stated, he tried to reason with his wife, and tried her to look from his perspective regarding the situation, but she needed some time alone to think.

His wife stated that it is hard for her to forgive him, as he had accused her with a terrible relationship crime, and as the OP explained, she stated, “that I hoped my foolish pride was worth the cost of my family.”

Since she left, she hasn’t spoken with her husband, and the OP wanted some advice to gain her trust again.

The Redditors who commented under the post stated that the father is not right with his actions, as they explained that he didn’t looked through her and his son’s perspective. They added that his wife had every right to leave him, since he didn’t trusted her as they had three children together, and there is no other man that she would have an affair with, the way he told his story.
