EIGHTH YEARS AGO SHE HAD MESSAGED THE WRONG NUMBER AND INVITED TO THANKSGIVING, THIS YEAR, THEY WILL SPEND THE THANKSGIVING FOR THE EIGHT TIME

For the last seven Thanksgiving, 24-year-old Jamal Hinton and 66-year-old Wanda Dench are spending their holiday together, since Wanda had messaged Jamal by an accident, and invited him to her Thanksgiving dinner, as she confused his number with her grandchild.

Jamal recently had received another message from a stranger again, which he shared from his social media account on X.
“Thanksgiving [is] around the corner and I am still receiving [texts] from [a] random number! Year 8 plans are set with a great surprise!!!” Jamal stated from his X account.
Back in 2016, he received a message from Wanda, as she was inviting her grandchildren to dinner for Thanksgiving.

He answered “who is this?” and she replied, “Your grandma”. And then he said “You are not my grandma” with smiling emojis, and added that “Can I still get a plate tho?”
“Of course you can, that’s what grandmas do, feed everyone” Wanda replied then.
Back in 2021, they had spoke with Today, and Jamal said that, “Yes, there was a huge amount of hesitation because it was all just a joke”
“I was in math class. I was taking a test. And I was just like, “Hey, why not?””
“I’m just an outgoing person. I like to meet new people and then she said, “Yes,” and I was just starstruck, basically.”
The funny thing is that Wanda is not a Thanksgiving fan, and actually she wanted to cancel their dinner, before she had sent the messages.
“I was tired of putting on the feast every year, so I asked my husband if we could just skip Thanksgiving that year and go off and have a mini-vacation or something.”
“But little did I know that’s not what the universe had planned for me.”

Wanda and Jamal had became friend later on their first meet. And after that, they had visited each other. Even, with his girlfriend, Jamal had left food for Wanda and her husband, during the COVID pandemic.
Sadly, she lost her husband, Lonnie, in 2020, to COVID, and her first Thanksgiving without her husband, had attended by Jamal, his girlfriend, Mikaela, and Wanda’s daughter and grandson.
They placed his picture in his seat, and remembered Lonnie, for his great memory.
“I told her the cameras and the fame, everything could stop tomorrow, and nothing’s changing between us” Jamal said in 2021.
“Absolutely, he’s in my heart for life.” Wanda added.
Jamal also stated that, they will get “matching tattoos next.”
“I’ve always told her whatever I’m doing, she’s a part of, no matter what it is.” He added.
