DURING BRIDE AND FATHER DANCE AT THE WEDDING, BROTHER PROPOSED TO HIS GIRLFRIEND
Alex was the eldest of her two siblings. She was 35, his brother Jeff was 29, and their sister was 32. Jeff had struggled a lot after his birth. He was born with some complications and spent a month in the NICU.
So that made him the main baby who is receiving the focus in the house. Their parents had neglected Alex and Anna. They were loving their brother, but living in his shadow was not a happy life for them.
That led him to be spoiled, as he was stealing spotlight in the gatherings. Everything was about him, and that was normal for Jeff, as he was raised believing in that social structure.
As Jeff fell in love with Emma, he found someone similar to himself. During Anna’s baby shower, Emma announced her pregnancy.
And when Alex was marrying with his wife Lily, again Jeff stole the spotlight. While they were preparing for the wedding, Alex’s best man James caught Jeff in a jewelry store receipt lurking from his pocket. As James confronted Jeff about the situation, things started.
“Hey, what’s that in your pocket, Jeff?”
“Oh, it’s nothing, just some… um… spare change.”
“Come on, Jeff, I saw what it was. You were going to propose, weren’t you?”
“Yeah, I was. I wanted it to be special for Emma.”
“Look, Jeff, I can’t have you doing this at my wedding. I’m sorry, but I have to ask you to step down as my groomsman.”
“But Alex, I love Emma. I wanted to make it special for her.”
“I get that, Jeff. But this isn’t the right time or place. Please understand.”
At that evening, their parents argued with Alex, “Alex, Jeff never admitted to planning a proposal. You’re being unfair.”
“Dad, you know Jeff’s history. He always finds a way to make it about him,” Alex said.
“Look, Alex, let’s just get through the wedding without any more drama, okay?” His father said.
And when the wedding day arrived, Jeff proposed to Emma during the bride’s father daughter dance. As Lily’s eyes got wet, after the dance Lily was smiling.
“Why are you smirking?! Our beautiful moment is ruined, you think it’s funny?” Alex asked. Then she revealed her plan to revenge. Lily was going to gibe Jeff the cold dish called revenge.
Few months later, while Jeff and Emma’s wedding was approaching, the wedding preparations were continuing. Anna, Alex and Lily were in charge of preparations too.
for the wedding day, the plan was solid. There were going to be no guests, because they had changed the dates on the invitations. “He ruined our special day, Alex. We can’t let him get away with it,” Lily said.
“You’re right, Lily. He needs to learn that actions have consequences.” Alex agreed.
“Alright, Lily, we need to make sure everything goes smoothly today.”
“Agreed. We’ve put so much effort into this, we can’t let Jeff ruin it again.”
“Absolutely. I can’t believe he had the nerve to pull that stunt at our wedding.”
“I know, it was completely out of line. But hey, today’s our chance to give him a taste of his own medicine.”
“Exactly. Alright, let’s get this show on the road. Anna, you ready?”
“Ready as I’ll ever be. Let’s make sure this plan goes off without a hitch.”
“Alright, let’s do this.”
“Everything’s set up perfectly. Jeff and Emma won’t suspect a thing.” Lily said later at the venue.
“I hope not. This revenge plan has to be executed flawlessly.” Ales said.
“I can’t wait to see the look on Jeff’s face when he realizes what’s happening.” Anna responded.
Then the morning came. Jeff and Emma were ready for their wedding, and they were excited to see their guests and families. But as time passed, no one arrived.
“Where is everyone? Something doesn’t seem right.” Jeff asked.
“I don’t know, Jeff. Maybe they’re just running late.” Emma said.
But Jeff was aware that something was not right. Then a small wedding cake with a postcard came.
“What’s this?” Jeff asked.
“It’s a cake… for us.” Emma said.
The postcard was written on it, “You took our special events, now we decided to take yours!”
As Jeff was angry, “What is this supposed to mean? What’s going on?” He said.
Then they realized that they were being tricked.
“I can’t believe we pulled it off.” Lily said.
“I can’t believe you all did this to me. I thought we were family.” Jeff said.
“Jeff, you hijacked my wedding day. You had this coming.” Alex turned to Jeff.
“Jeff, they’re right. You can’t just ruin people’s special moments and expect no consequences.” Emma turned to her husband.
As Jeff was angry, he wanted to cut them off of his life. But he was aware of his mistake, and started to work to repair the relationships he had damaged.
